Here I am in my room, waiting for Wan. It was raining this morning. Wan woke up at 5.30 for last minute touch-up for today's meeting, he only slept for 4 hours.

Ditched my plan for a stroll at the mall and stayed in the room after breakfast.

The breakfast is ok; many choices but the sambal nasi lemak is very2 spicy.

It has limited basement parking space shared with the new international convention centre. At the moment, the parking is free.

Tag along

I love to tag along Wan to his outstation meetings.

Last December was Alor Setar and we stayed at Holiday Villa.

The room is clean, no strains of hair on the carpet, no mold on the bathroom wall, received a copy of newspaper in the morning however, the heater was not consistent (sometimes it suddenly became extremely hot).

The first meeting will start in the night at 9pm, so we took our time to walk around Alor Star. There's a shopping complex next to Holiday Villa, (err, actually both are in the same building), but the shopping complex is more or less like Warta Bangi without Guardian and supermarket. Yes, no supermarket. You have to walk to 7-E across the street to get yourself something to munch.

Jejantas with escalator. Later was told by Shidi that people refused to use the jejantas before the escalator was built. But you can see Malaysian are very degil.

There's nothing much to see. Bought a few bottles of kuah rojak. Shidi (Wan's bestfriend during DPA) is coming to Alor Star too that night after his meeting because he had another meeting the next day, but both finished late so I had dozed off waiting for them for the late supper.

So we decided to meet up the next day after their meetings.

Checked-out at 12pm. Shidi's still in the meeting.

Went to the tower, unfortunately it is under construction.

Shidi came 1 1/2 hour later. Huhuhu. He treated us lunch and had a chat for a while before he had to dash to his brother's nikah ceremony. A very busy man indeed. His staff even came all the way from Sg. Petani for him to sign last minute payment vouchers during our lunch.

Bid goodbye and took off at 2pm++. Arrived home exhausted at 10pm.. Massive traffic jam because it was raining heavily.

So, who are we meeting in Kuantan tomorrow? :)

Just the two of us..

We went to Cherating for a short weekend trip during our anniversary. We stayed at Impiana for 3D 2N. And this is kinda our review on the hotel..

Anyway, we had breakfast 1st in the morning n a piece of caramel cheesecake on the anniversary day itself. Presents? Rahsia :)


The journey started at 2.30pm. Kenapa lambat sangat?? Hantar kereta pergi service. Ingat boleh siap cepat, sampai kul9.30, kul 1 baru siap..

Had our lunch at Bentong's Petronas. There's a cafe there named D'Paya Serai. Cafe yang teramat mahal, standard KLIA. Gula2 kopiko, 20sen sebiji!! 2plates of rice (which is equivalent to 1 plate of rice for normal people), sayur kobis, 2 ketul ayam and 1 telur masin at the price of RM16. Mahal dan banyak lalat macam mane pun, manusia tetap ramai..

Arrived at 5.30. Was told that the hotel was fully booked already. Tiada pertukaran bilik boleh dibuat.

The room was not bad except that:
1. we were mistakenly been given a room with 2 single beds instead. Single, single, not super single. Nasib both of us kurus :D
2. The room was at the top floor and there is no ceiling, terus2 nampak atap. Then there was this just a bulb dangling from the roof.
3. Since it's at the top floor, imagine the heat during the day and the air-cond was so damn slow n not cold at all.
4. Ants!!!!!!!! So many of them. We cant even leave anything sweet on the table or else, the ants will come swarming them in minutes. The only place that's safe to put food is at the TV rack.
5. The TV was small. Comel je.
6. Lizards, huge n fat like the one I saw during BTN at Ulu Sepri.
7. Lighting at night was bad.. Memang malam tu untuk tidur je bila masuk bilik.

See, no ceiling. Notice tak lampu kecil yang tahape2 di sebelah kiri. Direct ke katil, silau n panas dibuatnya.
As for the price, Deluxe Seaview (standard room) is RM300++ for normal rate and RM180++ for government rate during weekends. But hotels usually give the lousiest room for customers using Govt rate or with voucher/coupons. And this is not my first experiencing this.

Food :
2 day breakfast-On Sunday morning, there were so many people at the the Kedai Kopi and the hotel staff tak cukup tangan to fill in the foods in the tray. You may have to wait or ask the staff for it. Most of the foods were tawar. The nasi goreng serai, the sambal bawang etc. Or is it I am very pemasin? The food was just ordinary and the same menu the next morning.
Room service food sangat mahal. Cant remember the price but it's more expensive compare to other hotels.

The beach:
Biasa2 saje. Airnye kelabu, dont expect crystal clear water. On the day we arrived, memang ramai sangat orang walaupun panas terik. It was kinda windy and cloudy on Sunday evening, so mandi sakan. Plus, everyone checked-out that day and left us and some foreigners tourist. Tiada gambar pantai, Dah dua2nya mandi, sape nak tangkap gambar.

There are many other things at the hotel we didnt explore. But over all, the hotel needs to do a make-over.

Anyway, kami pergi tengok penyu.

Masuk sini free. Cuma salurkan sumbangan ikhlas.

Tempat penetasan penyu. Kecewa tak dapat pegang penyu kecil.
Kalau nak tengok penyu di malam hari, ade sesi tertentu yang diorganize oleh pihak hotel dan lokasinya di Teluk Mak Nik also known as Monica Bay which is pantai belakang INTIM.

Will we be coming back to Impiana? Dont think so. Saya mahu pergi Redang sebelum ianya dijadikan lokasi percutian orang kaya :)

I just submitted my cuti rehat form to my big boss..

The problem is, on the 30th and 31st tu ade meeting..

31st meeting JPKK..
I'm going to Kuching from 28th to 31st with akak, abg Yie and ma..
Lame sgguh xcuti2.. Then, on the 4th and 5th, nak pegi Pangkor pulak..
Trip dengan Keluarga Bakti..Ma is excited to go..
I don't mind accompanying her..

Ayu is getting married on the 4th..
I thought of going but then, change of plan..

I hate mold..

I did my 3 day induction course at D*nasty Hotel in KL on the 15 till 17th July..
A nasty hotel..
What I learned during that 3 days is, "Hotel bathroom shouldn't have mold on it's wall"
Oh please lar!!!!
I barely spent more than 5 minutes in that disgusting bathroom..
There's a bath tub, and how I love to soak myself in the hot bath..
But not this time.. One look at the bath tub, euwww...

The room wasn't that nice either..
There were balls of hair under the dressing table, and they
were still there after 2 days of housekeeping..
The window is terribly dirty and the room smelled.. Nightmare I tell u..

But I compliment the food..
The food was delicious.. ;)
