1 similarity = Make-up

A friend is kinda disturbed with her bf's statement saying she should wear more make-up.

I never thought about it until she brought it up.

Well, for her, the bf's statement indicates make-up can make her look pretty or another way of saying "You're not pretty, please put on some make-up".

So far, what Joe had mentioned to me is to wear less or nothing at all. Alhamdulillah :D

I just dont know how to response back to her.. ouch!

Annoyed

Every 1 hour, this thing appears

Eventhough I'm not browsing anything on IE and MS Word is the only window on the PC screen.

Imagine having to restart the PC every 1 hour? And if I didnt, the pc hangs

And no, I dont have the authority to change anything on my PC.


Need to call the IT guy again. Call tomorrow, they'll response 2-3days after.

So, have to restart my PC every hour. Best betul.

Gambar ini diambil semasa sambutan Maulidur Rasul tahun 2008 di Dataran Merdeka. Menemani Abg Pjg (ketika itu tunang saya), memantau pergerakan bas. Tibe2 terserempak dengan En.Akmal kita yang berbaju Melayu biru. Dan beliau lah yang snap gambar ini.

Majlis bertambah gawat bila hujan lebat melanda, berlarian2 secara macho 3 orang ini mencari tempat berteduh dan kemudian bermula aktiviti perkongsian maklumat.

Lepas majlis selesai, aktiviti 3 orang ini diakhiri dengan makan sate Samuri di Taman Melati for lunch. Sekian.

Jangan cakap taknak atau tak akan.

Allah itu suka menguji umatNya.

Itu Ma selalu cakap sejak dari kecil lagi.

Dulu masa sekolah, saya cakap sampai bila2 pun TAKNAK pakai handbag.
Cuba tengok berapa banyak handbag pelbagai saiz dalam almari tu.

Dulu mase zaman Uni, saya cakap sampai bila2 TAK AKAN pakai kasut tinggi
Cuba tengok ada berapa kasut tinggi 3 inci kat dalam bilik tu.

Dulu bila ada perkara best2 nak berlaku, mesti kata TAKNAK demam or sakit.
Confirmed, hari kejadian mesti demam, sakit or kena beguk.

Dulu saya cakap saya TAK AKAN suka pada lelaki tinggi.
Cuba tengok betapa tingginya suami saya.

Dulu saya cakap, TAKNAK buat kerja2 menulis.
Cuba tengok berapa minit mesyuarat kena buat.

Sekarang saya cakap, kalau saya diberi rezeki dan punya anak, saya TAK AKAN letak gambar anak saya sebagai PROFILE PICTURE kat FB.

Saya suka..

...melihat suami kurus saya menggunakan lesung menumbuk lumat ikan bilis dengan cili api untuk dibuat sawi goreng. Suami saya kurus, tapi die kuat tau. Tak perlu guna dry chopper. Dan dia sangat rajin buat kerja rumah.

Puji suami dapat pahala.. ngeee

Penyebab

Memang sangat genius ar arkitek Putrajaya ni bina lampu isyarat dan tempat tunggu bas beberapa meter sebelum pintu masuk Kompleks E.

Sekarang, bas terpaksa berhenti selepas pintu masuk Kompleks E pada waktu pagi, penumpang bas pulak akan melintas kat kenderaan yang banyak bertali arus nak masuk Kompleks E.

Sekali melintas, seorang.... 2 orang... 3 orang..... berjalan ala2 model dan courtesy untuk angkat tangan berterima kasih kepada kenderaan yang berhenti tu jangan harap la kan.

Pak guard kat tepi, setakat berdiri, sesekali angkat tangan suruh kenderaan jalan tu apa fungsinya? Kenderaan tau dah, memang kene jalan.

Tak boleh ke Pak Guard tu tahan kejap orang yg berjalan nak melintas tu bagi ramai sikit dalam 10-20 orang, baru bagi mereka lintas sekali harung. Takdelar kenderaan kejap2 kene berhenti, kejap2 kene berhenti bagi jalan kat sorang.. dua orang...

Kalau Pak Guard malas sangat, tolong bina jejambat untuk orang melintas..

Phew, what a weekend..

I managed to sew a new set of drape for our living hall in a day. A day man!

This is my first time experience, so it's just a plain straight line drape, no frills, nothing.

We bought the cheapest fabric, in case the first-timer tailor got mess up with it, the loss won't cost that much. heh. The 11.5m fabric, the curtain hooks and curtain tape only cost less than RM50.

I thought it's just a piece of cake. But it's not. I remember Ma saying, cheap fabric is hard to handle. Sure it is. Benang kain asyik tertarik bila jahit, lepas tu jahitan berkedut2. Not satisfied with the finishing, I unpicked the whole thing n re-did the sewing.

Then the pattern thing. I almost sewed the pattern upside down for the other piece. Giler, other wise, need to undo the whole thing, again.....

The next mistake, I sewed the curtain tape upside down, undid the whole thing again.

Started sewing at 11 in the morning on Saturday, finished at 12 midnight the same day. And last night, we hung the drapes and the result is beautiful. Hahaha, perasan siut. Lepas ni boleh amik upah jahit curtain untuk rumah bujang. heee

Adding up to my wish list, a sewing machine.. heeee

Called Best Denki and our tv has arrived. Picked it up last night. Operating the TV was confusing. Petang ni cube lagi. Joe is so excited to watch Thomas Cup with the new TV.

Next in line is a simple rug and 2 big cushions to put in front of the new TV. Thought of sewing the cushion myself since I'm so gifted with sewing (puke), but Ma's 20-year-old sewing machine got broken yesterday and I cant figure up how to use the new one. Will try one more time with it next week, or we'll just buy the cushions at the mall.

The house is getting more comfortable. Lepas ni boleh buat housewarming, upah KAK Ina masak. hehehehe

Sedih ke suka?

Sedih ke suka bila suami kate. "Abg belanje sayang pergi slimming centre"

Bagi yang rasa sedih:
Sedih ar, sebab dengan kata lain, suami kate, "Awak dah gemok, pergi slimming centre sekarang kembalikan size badan semasa zaman bercinta!"

Bagi yang rasa suka:
Suka ar, sebab tak perlu nak work-out giler2. Pergi slimming centre, buat laser treatment, slimwrap berpuluh jam, bla, bla, bla, lepas 2 bulan, helo 32-24-34.

Semestinya saya yang kedua itu.. Saya terima dengan seadanya berat telah naik dengan garisan graf 80 darjah. Suami dah bagi mase untuk beraerobik, tapi saya malas. Jadi keadaan saya ini adalah atas kemalasan saya untuk jaga makan dan bersenam.

Abg, allocate RM untuk saya tau untuk kembali ke 32-25-36. Abg cakap ayat kat atas, confirmed saya tidak berkecil hati.. hehehehe

Food

I'm not a big fan of food. For me, food is something I eat to give me energy and nutrition. And that's just all.

I dislike eating at places I'm not familiar with unless I'm going with someone who would take the trouble to order it for me. Pemalas tau.

Luckily, I'm married to someone who is exactly like me except that he is a sweet-tooth to the extreme. (cuba letak coklat 1 bar besar sebelah die, die boleh habiskan dalam mase 1/2jam..hee)

So, we're a couple who will not spend a huge sum of money for just food [except fruits and veges]. Food is not my comfort. We will not spend rm20 for 3 scoops of ice-cream. For us, it is outrages outrageous.

And my definition of sedap is mestilah tidak tawar, pahit, terlalu manis, masin, masam atau terlalu banyak penambah perasa. [kalau lepas makan rase dahaga, means banyak penambahan perasa umami] dan tempat makan yang baik ialah bersih dan tiada lalat atau bau busuk. So when people asked me, sedap tak spaghetti tu, kalau menepati ciri2 di atas, saya cakap sedap walaupun sesetengah orang kate, spaghetti yang sedap mesti rase mcm ni, mcm ni. Tak faham ek?

When people ask us about this eating place or that eating place, the answer will always be a simple no, we never try that place yet. We don't know many nice eating places. We hate to venture. Plus, we take extra caution on every single thing that goes inside the system. So, whenever we want to go to an unfamiliar restaurant, the 1st question that'll pop into our heads is, "Is is Halal? Must do research 1st."

Jadi, salah seorang couple ala2 kuno pasal restoran2 glamer kat Malaysia ini adalah kami berdua :)

I'm currently reading "Penenang Jiwa, Pengubatan & Rawatan" translated from Imam Al-Ghazali's Mukashafah Al-Qulub. I know I have not attended any Islamic classes for quite sometime. And my KAFA Ustazah once told me, "Kalau kita tak mengisi hati ini dengan ilmu untuk suatu tempoh yang terlalu lama, nanti hati keras dan ilmu pun susah nak lekat" Something like that.

Bab 5 ialah mengenai Memerangi Nafsu dan Syaitan. Mengambil dari buku tersebut, "Bahaya yang paling besar bagi manusia ialah syahwat perut"

Dan Rasulullah SAW bersabda:
"Janganlah engkau membunuh hati dengan banyak makan dan tidur. Sesungguhnya hati akan mati bagaikan tanaman jika tergenang"

I have learned this since primary school. And Ma always scolded me when I slept too much mase sekolah dulu. Tiap kali mesti keluar ayat di atas. heh

Currently, I'm on my healthy eating routine. I ate more veges and fruits, less carbs and at least 2 litres of plain warm water. I slept less but didnt do any work-out so far and miraculously my weight is dropping every week. Furthermore, I feel more energetic. I'm loving it.

Plus work-out routine starting next week, lagi 2-3bulan boleh turun 10kg tak? Hehehehe

Passport

Phew, what a day..

I choose this day to renew my passport.

1st mistake: Instead of Jabatan Audit Negara, I registered inside my head as Jabatan Akauntan Negara. We park our car in front of Jabatan Akauntan Negara and we walked to Jabatan Imigresen which is soooooooo far when you're wearing 2inches shoe and red baju batik. (No, it's not our DPA batik. Bahaya, nanti Mala boleh notice I jalan kat bawah MOF tu ;)

2nd mistake: I should've called the department first instead of relying on the information I get from my staff who did her passport at Presint 2, in February 2010. It's because, they shifted to Presint 15, Bangunan Chancery about a month ago.

3rd mistake: I went back home last night just to get my Sijil Nikah, because someone said Imigration need it for the application if you're married. No, they neither need your Nikah Cert nor your birth cert. Just your IC and a copy, your old passport (if you're renewing your old one), 2 pieces of passport sized pics and of course RM100 for 2 years or RM300 for 5 years. I know, I should've called first.

Arrived there number 1059 at 10.30am and by 11.30, my new passport and Joe's are safely in my big handbag.

Thank you so much dear roomie for being so patient after all the mistakes I've done. Love u so much..

Relaks yaya, you'll be on vacation next week..

But Abg Joe wont be able to tag along. I won't be enjoying it as much.

Oh, I haven't renewed my international passport. Heee.. Procrastinating like always. Akak jangan marah, sok beta pergi buat okes.. Pastu, I want to tag along to Singapore with you guys :)

Due to my sadness and frustration, we went to MValley and bought ourselves a new TV. heeeeee.. Best Denki was on sale last weekend, 10% discount on tv products.


p/s: Dear SPA, dah masuk 3 bulan, kenapa saya dan Joe belum dapat surat kuatkuasa taraf berpencen ni?

Beli-belah di hujung jari

Saya suke online shopping. Dan bahagianya melihat baju2 cantik, baju pre-loved, new, used. Kalau ada masa senggang, saya guna untuk window shopping secara online.

Window shopping secara online ni sangat sesuai untuk orang malas seperti saya yang tiada masa, (chey, konon) untuk berjalan2 di pusat beli-belah mencari baju seperti orang bujang. Cuma perlu computer, internet connection, meja dan kerusi empuk serta duit dalam CIMBCLicks atau Maybank2u.

Rasenye sudah beribu website saya masuk. Dan kadang-kala website tersebut sangat mengecewakan.

Bagi saya, website menjual2 baju ni perlu ambil berat perkara di bawah supaya memudahkan orang2 seperti saya:

1. Labels. Mesti kategorikan produk2 tersebut mengikut groups. eg: Dress, tops, skirts, pants, long pants, short skirts etc, etc.

2. 1 entry, jangan campur adukkan pelbagai kategori baju kerana nanti perlu letak pelbagai labels.

3. Jangan letak 1 produk dengan banyak labels. Jika produk itu dress, letak dress, jangan ditambah "skirt", "tops", walaupun sekarang ini ramai yang menggunakan dress sebagai "tops".

4. Jangan letak terlalu banyak penambahan2 yang tidak bersesuaian di page anda, kerana akan menyebabkan page tersebut lambat loading, lalu mengurangkan minat mereka yang datang menjengah kerana perlu tunggu lama.

5. Jangan letak entry yang terlalu sedikit. Kami malas asyik2 nak kene click "Older posts".

6. MESTI letak ukuran baju. Saiz bukan sahaja dari segi M, L, XL atau UK6, UK8, tapi ukuran pada bahu, dada, pinggang, hips, panjang baju, panjang kain/seluar, panjang lengan serta ukur lilit pada ketiak.

7. Tak semua orang ada Maybank2u, dan tak semua ada CIMBClicks, jadi haruslah ada dua2 sebab due2 ni paling glamer dalam online banking.

8. Perlu letak kategori fesyen pakaian, eg: vintage, modern, untuk ke kelab, muslimah etc, etc.

9. Saya suka tengok baju itu diperagakan pada orang sebenar daripada pada patung. Tapi yang setakat gantung pada penyangkut baju atau flat di atas lantai, sungguh tak berapa best.

10. MESTI letak jenis kain, eg: cotton, polyester.

11. Perlu buat research harga di pasaran online. Dulu, saya rasa jualan baju online ni mahal la jugak, tapi sekarang bila ramai yang menceburinya, harga pun makin turun. Tapi masih ada yang kekal dengan harga mahal tanpa mengetahui orang lain menjual baju yang sama dengan harga lebih murah.

Sekian dulu buat masa ini, ada idea baru, saya sambung di rumah. Nak balik tengok AdaMaya..heeee
