It's a small world

If my life is made into a movie, I’m sure the viewers will see those people who crossed into my life (sekejap atau lama) before are now my friends or enemies.

When I got to know my husband, I learned that he used to work at ascott near klcc and taking putra to work while I was an undergrad student, 15 kg lighter, wearing braces and made monthly visit to my orthodontic at Bangunan Angkasaraya, also taking putra. So I told my huband, entah2 kita pernah berselisih kat klcc or dalam putra kan? Only Allah can answer that. I remember when I was in Unggul, I did notice him because everytime I saw him, asyik2 bergayuuuuuuuuuuuut memanjang kat telefon. And now, he’s the guy who slept next to me every night.

Husband got transferred to a new place, met new colleagues and coincidentally, when his colleague/roommate (they share room) received his promotion letter last week, it’s stated there that he’ll be moving to my previous ministry and was suggested to replace my office-mate who also got transferred out. Wow, he’ll be doing what I had been doing for the pass 4++ years. All the best to him. Hihi.
And Ziehan, my sidangmate during dpa will be in the same unit with my husband.

Pusing2, kat situ je.

Merungut

Hiduplah saya tanpa merungut selama 4 hari.

Hehehe). Enjoy lah setiap saat bersama.

Saya bersyukur..

Happy 2nd Anniversary sayang...

I hope you like your gifts because I really love mine and the surprises you gave me :)

Mak saya selalu bilang, bila kita didatangani dugaan, itu tandanya Allah sayang kita kerana Dia mahu kita sentiasa ingat kepada Dia kerana kesenangan mudah membuat kita lupa dan lalai.

Syukur..

Sedihkan??

Updates

It's now 10 minutes to 11. I haven't bathed since yesterday afternoon. Still lying on the bed, blanket not folded, pillows strewn all over. I haven't brushed my teeth but I've already eaten breakfast. Gross, I know..

I'm not in the mood of doing anything. I even ignored the dirty floor which previously my OCD will always make me wipe it until it's clean and shiny. My hair is oily and unmanageable. The eyes are swollen so I refused to look at the mirror.

Blame it on the stomach cramp or should I call it period pain. (some readers go "what??"). I hardly slept last night.

I'm on MC since yesterday. Planning on taking EL tomorrow. I'm sure the boss will have some sympathy knowing my condition right now. After all, I still have 28 days leave left this year. So screw work! Haha

Maybe I need shopping therapy. I still have a few bucks left for this month to spend and the next pay-check is in 2 days. Yippee.. But I just spent a big sum last Saturday celebrating on the thing that I may no longer have.

Today is 21st June already. My 2nd anniversary will be in less than 2 months. (Oh my, I've been married that long eh?) So, I'll spend the rest of this day scouting pressie for my wonderful husband. You guys don't envy me and go back to work..

*yawn*
I think I'll sleep first. Hubby, please wake me when it's lunch time will ya?

Letting it go

A day passed by, I started to forget about the "special gift" they called teguran secara halus and accepting it as a joke. Thought of buying a frame and hang it at the new office. OK, not funny.

After giving much thought, I'm not going to privatise my blog. Why should I? But I'll be more careful so that people can't use it against me.

God is Great, I accidentally 'stumbled' into one of the gang's blog. And she kutuk me just as bad as she thinks I kutuk her. If she thinks I'm wrong for writing it up then so does she because she did exactly the same in her blog.

Thought of printing it up and left it on her table. But nah, if I did that, I'm as shallow as she is. I have class (eventhough she said I'm a stupid fella).

It's funny when they thought I "judged" them by listening to one side of a one-day story only. I have ears and eyes yo. I observed and analysed their behaviours for the past 3 years. What about their multiple "info-sharing" sessions during Friday break when they thought I was not in my cubicle (masa tu takde bilik lagi), the incomplete work, the signature forgery, the unnecessary high tone voice when you spoke to your boss (just because you had problems at home), how you kept on talking on the phone with your friends eventhough your boss was right under you nose waiting for you to stop chit chatting, and many more to list out.. Can't that be taken into account too?

And have they ever thought why they were transferred from one unit to another?

I can be a very mean boss if you want me too.

If I'm that evil and hate the subordinates so much, I can give my subordinates 70 for LNPT, I can persuade the boss to lodge a police report when someone forged her signature and I don't give a shite what happened next, I won't let my subordinates take leave when we are in a very tight schedule or let them leave the office when they have personal stuff to attend to, I can force my subordinates to follow me organize an outstation meeting or make them stay back even-though they have small kids to be taken care off, I can do many other mean things and be the I-don't-care boss.

But I had not, I chose not to and I had been too lenient to them instead. But this is what I get in return. Thank you very much. If you think I have not been a very good boss, then have you ever reflected yourself whether you are a very perfect subordinates?

I had experienced having the best subordinates when I covered another unit's work. Oh my, they are the best of the best and how I wish I can bring them along with me. Keep up the excellence work guys.

At 27, insyaAllah I will have another 29 years to go in service. And who knows, I may be your boss again? When that time comes, you'll see a different me. I won't be that naive little girl anymore.

To whom it may concern, good luck with your new boss. He is my friend. An Indian guy. Don't worry, I tak menghasut dia apa2, I just told him to be very, very, very stern with you guys (he doesn't have a clue why). Is that a warning? Some sort of. Hahaha. All the best ya.

Happy

(Posting entry at the speed of light)

This is the view from my office room.

Oh yes, the nursery's playground.

Everyday, around 11am, the kids are allowed to play. I can hear them shouting and screaming happily. I can sit by the window and watch the cute little people play until they are once again in the nursery.

Oh, where's my own little people...

Wish

Nice picture isn't it? And if only the boy in pink is ours.

That's Adam. Kak Lin's son. An adorable kid. He likes Wan so much during our 2N2D stay at Kak Lin's house in Kuching. Stick to Wan like glue and he even slept on cuddling Wan in the car on our way to the airport. It's such a wonderful view watching Wan with kid(s).

Oh, I wish...

The closest

My boss once said, the closest to us is death and the unreachable to us is the past time.

I was so sad reading this. He died at the age of 28.

Wan said, arwah was a PTD. Googled his name, wanting to find more about him, until I came across his blog. I read a few of his entries and he seems like a remarkable man.

Semoga rohnya ditempatkan di kalangan orang2 yang beriman.

Unfriend the unfriendly people

I remembered someone said to me before, when your instinct feels that this person (whom you've known for quite sometime) doesn't like you, it's true, he/she doesn't like you.

Observed how he/she responded to you, you'll know.

I've learned to become a civilized, adult woman since 4 years ago. I know I have so much more to learn. I tried to control my temper, kept quiet rather than cursing when I'm angry and not to become emotional over simple things. Accepting criticism professionally is definitely one of them.

However when some chose to use a different platform to criticize, I tried not to turn into a psycho-maniac and do the same in order to humiliate him/her. Responding to that, I apologized, admitted what I did wrong, wish him/her the best in life and goodbye.

Oh, yes. A goodbye.

I wish people my age would grow up because the last time I checked, reality isn't a fairy tale.

Ukur baju di badan sendiri

What is it in English?? Hehehehe

Lately, I've been reading a few forums about property. And we even read the Valuation and Property Services Department's 3rd quarter of 2010 report.

Obviously, property value in KL and a few parts of Selangor increases align with the price, massively in year 2010.

It surprises me when many forumers manage to buy a RM600K++++ property and still have time to join the forum actively. I thought these rich people are too busy working to find more money rather than waste time in the forum eh?

Well, we definitely can't afford a RM600K property. Seriously, one has to pay approximately RM5-6K per month?? phew..

However, I have a different view on buying property. This is what my mom thought me: Buy a few moderate price property AT THE HIGH PROSPECT AREA rather than a huge, expensive one.

Reason one:
Let say I have 3 small / moderate houses by the price of RM600K when I sum-up the price. One is our house and the two other are for rent (self-paying). The other two are called investment because when the right time comes, we can sell it with higher price, (maybe double) without having to pay every month to the bank because we have tenants paying for it.

Reason two:
More property baby.. If we were in urgent need of money, we can sell off one of the properties and I'm sure we can get quite a sum when we settle the bank loan. But if I had one huge, expensive property, it's more difficult to sell it (sebab mahal sangat, susah nak cari buyer) plus, I need to find another place to live because I'm selling off my one and only property.

Reason three:
A guy in the forum pointed out that buying a pricey house for your second property to rent is not a good investment. Why? Because, whoever wants to rent a semi-d at the price of RM3K per month??? Lebih baik beli rumah sendiri beb. Lama2 jadi rumah kita berbanding bayar sewa RM3K sebulan, rumah tu rumah orang lain.

Anyway, this is my personal opinion and I'm not condemning others who have bought expensive houses.. It's your money to spend :)

It'll never be enough..

At this point of my life, I'm glad I saved quite a big sum every month. (but sigh a little bit because it's still not enough..)

Anyway, refraining myself from all those trips and pretty clothes and shoes for the past few years has been worthwhile. At least I have this sum to proceed to the next level.

If everything went well for the next 3 months or less, I can slash one of my 2011's plans. I'm so nervous about tomorrow. Please pray for us that everything goes well :)

Things to ponder

I haven't been a good friend and in fact, I haven't been a good daughter either since getting married. No, I'm not blaming on the married life, I'm just a bad time manager. Always procrastinating on everything.

Therefore, when Ma confided to my sister saying she misses her baby daughter, I felt so guilty and made a promise to myself, I must make a habit to call Ma every day. Even how busy I am, what is a few minutes of my precious 24 hours a day compares to my mom.

Having a chat with Ma just now, she asked me a simple question.. "Why do I want children?"

So, Why do you want children??

Cepat jawab?

*

*

*

*

*

Sebab anak ialah pelengkap keluarga? ------> WRONG

*

*

*

*

Sebab nak bagi zuriat kepada suami? ------> WRONG

*

*

*

I answered, "It's for my afterlife. It's because children are the only thing left when I'm no longer here in this world that will continuously pray for me"

RIGHT!

So, when that is my niat, be it my own children or others, as long as I teach them well, insyaAllah that is the best treasure in this whole wide world..

Sobs...

Eh, eh, bukan hari ni, lagi 5 hari.. hehehe

Wasted..

Not that slang wasted.

A friend of mine, graduated in electrical engineer from one of the prestigious Uni in Korea quit his job as the govt engineer recently. He's an electrical engineering graduate and was asked to do civil engineering things. He couldn't cope and the work given were not his passion. So he resigned, currently working with one of the top international microchip companies and so happy with it.

Well, his contract stated, if the govt were unabled to offer him a job * year(s) after he graduated, he is no longer bonded with the contract. But if the job were offered within that * year(s), contractually, he must work with the govt for 4 to 5 years. My contract carries the same clauses, except for the sum of money sponsored of course. So I was kinda shock because I thought overseas scholars should be given more strict clauses. hehehehe

Luckily for him, the govt offered him the job AFTER * year(s) he graduated. So, when he felt he can no longer tahan with it (not doing what he has learned for 4 freaking years), he resigned. The contract was not breached so the govt loses another great person. When I say another, it means, this happens a lot..

It kept me wonder, didn't the "high fliers" there do any research on what particular sector is critical and needs sponsoring so that when these smart people graduate, they will fill in the empty posts needed in the govt sector rather than being asked to do jobs that are not related at all with what they have learned in the univ?

And when these students were sponsored hundred thousands of ringgit each, is * year(s) sufficient enough to bond them?

In the end, the private sectors are at the winning side. They don't have to sponsor anyone but they get all the good brains that were sponsored by our govt..

Bravo!

Women...

Not mine, repost:

No wonder my parents didn't allow me to go out after Maghrib..

To buy or not to buy

The thing about online shopping is that, it can be very addictive. Especially those websites which you had experienced their good quality products and tiptop services.

And hoyeah, today is payday.. Been updating my budget sheet in excel yesterday and.....

I have to stick to my budget plan. period.

Sis Yanie's contena from UK had arrived.. So I need to pay all the products I've ordered.. Phew..

I put my monthly savings in TH and I left some in the salary account just in case I'm in emergency need of money, then I can just cucuk the ATM machine while if TH, you have to fill in the form, wait for your turn, get your thumbs dirtied with that ink-thing and it only runs on weekdays.

So, if I'm unabled to fight my desires to buy things, I can still click the "submit" button while ordering stuff online since I know I still have a small sum in cimbeng.. Bahaya, bahaya..

I've resisted a few stuff.. And I'm so proud of myself.. teeheeeheeee

But when Nawar commented on how Miracle Water works wonders on her skin, terus rasa macam nak try.. hahaha.. Ah, the black acne scars won't disappear on this fair skin of mine.. It's ugly..

Cant' wait for December's payday which is in 40 days. Start counting.. hahaha

Happy payday everyone.. Don't overspend eh :D

Take a break.. Sticky post

Something I received via email..

MOMENTS IN LIFE

There are moments in life when you miss someone
so much that you just want to pick them from
your dreams and hug them for real!

When the door of happiness closes, another opens
But often times we look so long at the
Closed door that we don't see the one,
Which has been opened for us

Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
Because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile.

Dream what you want to dream
Go where you want to go
Be what you want to be,
Because you have only one life
And one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet
Enough trials to make you strong,
Enough sorrow to keep you human and
Enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don't necessarily
Have the best of everything;
They just make the most of
Everything that comes along their way.
The brightest future will always
Be based on a forgotten past;
You can't go forward in life until
You let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying
And everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end,
You're the one who is smiling and everyone
Around you is crying.

Don't count the years - count the memories...

Tomorrow should be better than today

When I was little, when BM and BI subjects have this particular part where you have to write essays, I realised that I hate writing; because I was and still not good at it. My favourite BM teacher during primary, Cikgu Osman always told us to read more books and articles in the newspaper in order to write better. Trust me, I did, but my writings were always the the dull, boring one. Even my personal jurnal are boring.

After PMR, I decided to choose something to do with science that requires no essay or paper writings in my job later on plus, I'm an introvert, I dislike having myself in a large crowd. I took Food Science and Nutrition, and yay, everything was so straight forward. Tak perlu ayat bunga2 cinta. Tesis pun semua facts and theories. The work is in the lab most of the time, wearing labcoat, surrounded with chemicals and high-tech machine.. That's so me :)

And then...........

Almost 4 years ago, I chose what I'm doing now. Maka draf surat/paper saya semestinya asyik ade bunga2 cinta kaler merah.

And it was so hard for me to finish up my PPK paper. Last buat tulisan ilmiah ni mase DPA kot.

This can't go on forever. This work I'm doing now, do require writing skills, papers, reports, letters etc..

And in order to write better, I need to have facts and knowledge too. Tak boleh tulis kosong je. Kerje ini bukan macam buat kerja lab, masuk sample, ade result. Result pula yang sukar/tak boleh disangkal. Siapa nak bantah, pergi bantah orang yang cipta analyser tu. Kalau result salah, sama ada buat salah or alat rosak or alat tak calibrate betol. (oh rindunya perkataan calibrate :). Sekali run sample, bukan run sekali, paling kurang 3 kali. Jadi, peluang untuk salah sebab diri buat salah tu tipis.

Tapi, apa2 kerja pun ada dugaan dan cabarannya. Kawan saya Food Technologist kat Penang kate, "Boring ar keje, asyik run sample, pastu setahun mesti kena pergi kursus luar negara 3-4 kali setahun belajar teknologi baru. "Boring" gila." Chis, saja nak buat aku jeles.

Holding on to Wan's favourite quote, "regrets bring you nowhere, it won't change the past. So do something to make the present a much better place to live"

Baiklah.. Esok perlu lebih baik dari hari ini..

Loss

My colleague's husband passed away on the 11th morning; the day I went for PTK. The colleague came back to work on the 18th.

Her work-station is exactly in front of my room. So, many came to her place asking about how it happened etc and she, willingly or not kept on telling and repeating the same ol' story. Which for me, it may be agonizing for her to repeat them again and again about how her husband passed away. Have you not learned the word sensitivity, people? And if it were to happened to you, would you want to keep on telling people how your husband died merely a week after he is gone? Sedih tak hilang lagi kan..

Ma once told me, it is makruh to say takziah to the waris si mati after 3 days and here's what I found after doing all the research in the net and in the book:

(Hadis riwayat Al-Bukhari)
Action speaks louder than words which I think presenting yourself in front of her holding her hand or giving a hug may indirectly express "I'm sorry for your loss" or "I'll be here when you need me"; without having to say a word, don't you think?

Al-Fatihah..

Short nap weekend

Saya sentiasa ada masalah disiplin. Disiplin dari segi pengurusan masa disebabkan penyakit suka tangguh sejak azali lagi.

Tangguh belajar, tangguh lipat baju, tangguh lap lantai, tangguh kemas katil etc, etc.

Kahwin pula dengan seorang lelaki yang cukup pantang kalau saya suke tangguh2 contohnya bila amik bekas air sejuk, tak letak balik dalam peti ais atau tangguh basuh pinggan. Suami yang bebel, comel tak? Tak comel, sebab kena tegur.. huh

Pastu kene tegur dengan penuh kasih sayang, kalau nak kurus, kene la rajin buat exercise. Ni tiap kali tengok pempuan kurus, asyik kate nak kurus tapi tak buat ape2. Baik, baik.

Semalam, Ahad yang produktif.

Pagi2 seawal 6.30 sudah ke Putra Perdana, jogging. Pelik, sebab 6.30 di Taman Layang-layang Kepong dah ramai manusia, ni kat Putra Perdana jam 7 lebih baru ramai orang. Maka 7.15 dah habis jogging 2 round.

Lepas tu cari Taman Saujana Hijau, tak jumpe, pusing2 lepas tu jumpe Presint 9 (sila gelakkan kami) terus pergi makan nasi lemak kat depan Klinik Kesihatan tu (abis terbentuk kembali kalori yang terbuang masa jogging tadi). Nasi lemak kosong yang pedas-sangat-manis-pulak-tu-dan-sambal-takde-bilis pun harga RM2.50. Tobat taknak beli dah, tapi tak tau kenapa ramai orang beli kat tempat tu.

Balik rumah, menonton 2 movie, Paranormal Activity dan Blueberry Nights.

Lepas maghrib, had our dinner outside dan membeli barang dapur..

PTK dimansuhkan, terus rasa malas nak siapkan kertas kerja.. Haaa, tangguh lagi lar tu...

Lies..

I have always had trust issues.. even when I was a kid. Due to watching too many tv programmes, I developed this feelings that people who are not related to you will lie for their own benefits.

When I was 10, my best-friend said she spent 2 years in Zimbabwe and she got to be the coolest kid ever that time. I already knew where Zimbabwe is and it can't be true unless one of her parents is an ambassador or a N*tional G*ographic scientist or photographer and I definitely knew her parents, she's my bff. I said I don't believe her, therefore I was outcasted by the so called coolest gang.

In order to prove that she's lying, I went through Pa's Britannica's Encyclopaedia and many other books to find more on Zimbabwe. And yeah, I got to prove she's lying but the ending was kinda messy. But we are still friends now and she is in the same scheme as I am, only 2 years junior..hehe

Kids always lies or should I say they love to brag the untrue things.

However, when adult people lie to escape responsibilities, that is so freaking uncool and totally unacceptable. Lying seems like a sinless thing to do nowadays. People can easily tell lies naturally while giving us the straight face.

I believe in karma, what comes around, goes around.
