Satisfied

Ah, I like the smell of leather.

*giggle*
I was given an early birthday gift. I'm so fond of it, no, I love it so much. It's the one I've been looking for.

Last weekend, we went searching for the one that suits my taste, for 2 days. The first day, we walked from shop to shop for 3 hours non-stop. haha. Imagine the calories I burnt. It was a really good exercise. On the next day, the Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa day, I already knew where to looked at, so it took us less that 15 minutes to choose and pay. Finally, it's in my hand. Big thanks to this friend who told us where to find it. And not forget, to the one who paid for it. Muah, muah..

I went to watch HMM with Brother Wan and Husband Wan. (Hehe, that sounded so weird). Bro Wan on the right, Husband Wan on the left.

Overall, the movie is good. Thumbs up for KRU Pictures. However, I couldn't stop laughing when I heard the left person whispering Chubaka and the right saying Gandalf when R*him R*zali appeared. What's with the odd looking hair? On the other hand, after giving much thought, I think the mirror laser thing is ok. Hikayat means, it can have a little bit dongeng it in, right?

Happy viewing to those who have not :)

Tears

4.00 am

Don't take for granted because tomorrow may never comes.

What if

The meeting has ended. But forgive me, I couldn't concentrate on work.

The thing we are about to face today at 2 might or might not change us. Yesterday, I asked Wan, what if the opposite happens, will we be the same as before? Can we act like we knew nothing about it? Will we continuously be worried of what the future hold for us?

Women. They can't stop thinking, can they?

Men, being men, whether they are a bunch of amazing actors (on hiding their feelings) or they are actually very positive about everything.

Wan is very calm but I'm not.

I've to write this for future records.

because the result might be life changing...

Mixed feelings

The appointment is set on Monday..

All of a sudden, I'm feeling nervous and anxious at the same time...

This is about him..

I grew up watching my guy classmates skipped cleaning activity just because they are men. Whenever you did the duty rosters, men were given the easiest work like throwing the rubbish. If you put their names in the sweeping floor section, haram they will do it. Just look at their desks or how they arranged their books in their bags, you'll know what sort of person they are.

So, I have set my mind that men are lazy. Only one out of thousands of normal men may be rajin a bit. the chances of I'm meeting any of them are less than 0.0000002% because I don't have that many guy friends.

I have this girlfriend who refuses to get married because she thinks marriage means double house-works and double head-ache. Why burden herself on such things when life as single is less stressful. Partly, I don't agree with her. However, being what I used to be, I agreed that marriage means the wife has to do the extra work.

Well, that was before..

Then, I got married. Sab gave me this book, The Ideal Muslimah. Which was written in such a way that I wanted to be an ideal muslimah like right now.

I went for this ceramah and this ustaz told us that kerja2 rumah hanya jatuh hukum wajib bila suami suruh. Tapi membuat DENGAN IKHLAS tanpa disuruh akan mendapat pahala berlipat ganda. But how many of you actually did it without having your heart felt a little bit angry at your man whom happily stretching out his leg on the sofa watching tv while you are doing house works from dawn till dusk??

I know I can't..

I'm such a fragile human being. I have sensitive skin therefore I can't do too many washing, I'm allergic to dusk, I have troubled knee that prevented me from standing too long, and many moreeee...

But Allah is great and He does answer your prayer. Alhamdulillah, I have the best lifetime housemate. I can't stop thanking Him and feeling grateful for giving me such person and I pray hard that this will last forever.

I know that I have only been married for merely 2 years. Some say this is the honeymoon year and everything still looks so great. For us, the first 10 months was the toughest. We quarreled a lot like a lot. We thought courting for 2 1/2 years before we tied the knot is sufficient enough to actually know each other.
Well, we thought we have..

The truth is, the good and the ugly came later when we started living together, both the man and wife. Then the communicating, accepting and adapting process took place after the 10 months I told you about. And life started to feel beautiful again.

Anyway, he's the best housemate ever. (I think I've mentioned it twice :) I don't iron our clothes or do the bed (which is his part), I can dump the clean laundry on the floor or just leave the dirty dishes in the sink whenever I don't feel like doing it (note: Not all the time, sometimes) and Alhamdulillah, he'll do it without having me to leave a sticky note on the fridge.

I'm not the best cook, but every time I cook, he eats silently and words like "tak sedap", "masinnya", "pedasnya" never blurts out from his mouth. He always repeated "Mak cakap, bila orang masak, jangan cakap banyak. Makan je. Memasak tu penat." and everytime he said that, I wish I got the chance to know this wonderful woman who brought up such a great man.

For 19 consecutive months, I've been nothing but a spoilt wife.. Blame it on the guy in this picture.......... hehehehe

I planned to post this entry on his birthday. However, it slipped my mind..

It's 18th March, Happy 32.12th birthday abang.. hehe

Worth-it

Beautiful picture frame is to frame a nice picture like this

(or is it just me that thinks that it is a nice one? haha.. ok, you can ignore my words before the image)

I asked Wan to put that frame at his office, for "security" purposes. Hehe.

What is it about some men being scared or refused to put the picture of the wife or the kids at their workplace and later when the wife brought up the matter, they will come out with cheesy words like, "I already place your picture in my heart"...

Budgeting

I started doing my own budgeting since matriculation. Starting that year, my parents no longer provided me with pocket money. I have no choice but to be very particular with my expenses. Matriculation students were given RM1K for 2 semesters from the G. I bought my first ever handphone with that money, hehe. Amazingly, I managed to survive with the money given and still had a small sum that I carried forward during my degree.

Alhamdulillah later I managed to get myself a scholarship. Even though it wasn't much, I'm grateful enough. Then I got myself a stable job immediately after I graduated. A few years after that, I got married.

And marriage means sharing, err, the expenses. Since both of us work in the same scheme, we knew well how much we received every month. Anyway, before we tied the knot, we never actually sat down and detailed out the expenses; what he should pay and which part is mine.

After 19 months, Wan still insists on paying for everything. I can be the take-for-granted wife and let him be but I just couldn't. So we split the expenses accordingly.

I've planned my monthly budget for a year and the important thing is the monthly fixed expenses.

Every month, I tried the best not to overspend and I can only splurge on something else if I have extras after deducting the fixed expenses. Since we are about to strike one of our 2011 plans, we can't help it but to be a bit more strict with the money.

Anyway, we do hope that our family and friends will not misunderstood that when we decline a get together trip, a karaoke session, etc, it's not that we don't want to but our hands are all tied up on the budget.. huhu

Western

The wife will jump in joy when the husband said he wants western food for dinner. Easy peasy like this:

Home-made coleslaw, burger and scramble eggs..

Having this once in a week should be okay right?

Wan has his twice a week badminton session and I, errr, almost once a week aerobic session.. haha

Settled

It is my first important yearly report.

While others took leave because it's school holiday, I was the only officer in-charge (of that report) left at the office to make sure that the report is in order (well actually, not fully in-charge because I'm only covering a tiny part of it).

Went up and down the bosses' office, made multiple follow-up calls, felt super uneasy the whole day yesterday.

However, at the end of the day, I told myself, why am I being so intense about. I'm not even an officer in that particular unit. Others are enjoying their holidays leaving me to make sure that every thing is settled? It's not fair for me right?

So I went back home feeling less stress. (lesser but still a little bit worried).

Prayed hard that the report is signed yesterday.

Received good news this morning. Alhamdulillah.. I feel relieved and let's Rango tonight :)

Heart-ache

My heart aches every time I looked at those pictures on Japan's earthquake. I couldn't imagine their suffering. And what is my life challenges compare to theirs. I wish I can do more for them.

The whole world complimented the people in that country on how well-mannered and civilised they behaved after the disaster struck.

I have never been to any pusat penempatan sementara for those affected with disaster in our country for me to comment about Malaysian but I've seen my fellow DPA mates beeing kiasu by taking more kuih than what one was entitled to. It may sounded very simple, "Ala, hal kuih je" but this small things shows their true personality on how they think of others at the back queuing to get their shares (whom later to find out that there was nothing left for them because of those self-centred people).

Anyway, atas sifat keperikemanusian, please donate to:

Oh yes, sorry I could not stop counting again..

Last weekend, while folding up the laundry, I watched an episode of Giuliana and Bill. The one which they decided to proceed with IVF. All of a sudden, I started to cry.

Why la.. I have not even for gone any medical treatment to be sad about.

It's just that........I can feel the same pain and frustration...

Dugaan

(Oh, lebih kerap blog diupdate. Apa lagi, schedule entry la. Type banyak2, lepas tu schedulekan. hehehe)

In shaa Allah.

Boss

This is just too interesting not to share. Received this via email.

Blunt

Whether I'm the traditional type or the junior officers are being so blunt in the meeting nowadays? Seriously, using real case scenarios to point faults made by other person or units in the meeting and the words used to explain it. (You know, hentam menghentam supaya semua orang tahu.)

Wow..

I wouldn't dare.

It's not because I'm such a coward not wanting to mention it in the crowd but I believe in being professional in work.

Simple things should be settled "outside", not to be brought into meetings and quarrel about it in front all the officers or staffs.

No wonder meetings nowadays are so draggy..

What do you think?

Not available

Last time was shoe polish.

We searched the whole Alamanda. And we finally found it in Cold Storage.

Today, we wanted to purchase some medication for my flu. Ah yes, no pharmacist in both Guardian and Watson's. What we received were, "The pharmacist will come in at 6pm" and "You can try at Anjung". Thank you very much.

Centre court Alamanda has this small exhibition on baking stuff. Saw my Kenwood Chef Classic selling at the price of RM2K++. I bought mine at only 200pound. It's double the price.

Meanwhile, I'm FB-ing no more. I activated and then left it deactivated again. Everyday I did the same. Therefore, you'll find me commenting using Wan's FB account. Am I getting old? Or the mild depression I'm having right now is slowly 'darkening' my life because I'm frowning more rather than smiling?

I'm still praying for the 'good news'. If March past by without it, it means I won't be able to deliver it this year at the age of 27.

The cough is getting worst. I hope it'll sooth a bit and won't be disturbing others while watching Beastly tonight. Oh yes, it's my turn to choose and it's Beastly. Hehe..

Who's interested?

This is so irresistible when I am now looking for a good bag that will last forever. hehehe

Sick

I commented on one of my friends' FB wall on how long it had been since I last fall sick a few days ago.

And here I am, lying on this bed, tissues everywhere.

I have been ill for 2 days. Runny nose, sore throat, sneezing non-stop, muscle aches..

Sick or not, work still needs to be completed whether you are at home or at the office.

Siapa kata orang G relax, boleh blah..

Tired

Most of my previous entries are all so dark and gloomy. The beginning of 2011 is not fun.

Work is eating me up. Frustration is leading to another. I get so fed-up over tiny issues and I am so tired of everything.

I don't fancy my weekend anymore.

If only I eat lesser when I'm stress, at least I'll achieve something at the end of it. hehe..

Today marks 4 years, 1 month and 1 day. No letter. We are officially the longest em-forty-one. Yay..

Favourite Film Ever

(google image)

I've watched it so many times since I was little. And I am watching it again now. When Pa went to Austria, he bought each one of us an Edelweiss musical box. But I have lost mine....

Edelweiss - Sound of Music - Christopher Plummer's own voice from Mark on Vimeo.

And my favourite scene of all is the Austria's Folk Dance, Laendler. Christopher Plummer in long tail tuxedos is simply irresistible.
