Setakat ni sama..

Siapa tengok cerita Hani, TV3, hari Selasa, jam 9 malam?

Persamaan 1.
1 Litre of Tears: Bapa Aya ada kedai jual tofu.
Hani: Bapa Hani ada kedai dobi.

Persamaan 2.
1 Litre of Tears: Ibu Aya kerja di sektor kesihatan.
Hani: Ibu Hani merupakan seorang jururawat.

Persamaan 3.
1 Litre of Tears: Aya ada seorang adik lelaki dan seorang adik perempuan.
Hani: Hani pun sama.

Persamaan 4.
1 Litre of Tears: Aya main bola keranjang di sekolah.
Hani: Hani main bola jaring.

Persamaan 5.
Hani: Watak Irfan pun sama, sebijik..

Persamaan 6.
1 Litre of Tears: Aya sakit Spinocerebellar Degeneration Disease. Incurable.
Hani: Hani sakit barah otak. (Biasala cerita Melayu, barah otak ialah penyakit paling femes).

Persamaan 7.
1 Litre of Tears: Aya tak boleh masuk sekolah biasa lagi sebab dia tak boleh berjalan, jadi masuk sekolah khas.
Hani: Hani jadi buta selepas pembedahan, masuk sekolah untuk orang buta..

Bila baca sipnosis episod seterusnya, setakat ni jer lah yang sama. Takkan nak tiru sampai habis kan. Tu namanya ciplak tak de idea sendiri.

4 Years..

4 years ago, on the night of 4th Feb 2007, I was doing this.

Not knowing that on 5th of February 2007, I'll be meeting awesome people that will be working scattered all over Malaysia.

Not knowing that 10days after 5th February, I'll be working in that same spot I am now which I sometimes love and hate..

Not knowing that I'll get to know my soul mate in our batch forum. hee

Happy 4th Year in the Service PTD Batch 1/2007 and Happy Birthday Mala.

Now, let's pray that we'll receive *that letter* soon. *wink*

18 months..

It'll be eighteen months in 4 days..

Last Tuesday, we finally dragged ourselves to Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor to make our kad nikah. Sila gelak sebab dah lambat baru nak buat tapi gelak juga pada Din&Malia, mereka pun baru nak buat.

Boleh pulak jumpe mereka di JAIS.

The procedure took us less than 10 minutes.

Bring along a copy of your nikah cert, a picture of the husband and the wife then fill in the form (that time was blue in colour). Submit everything to the counter and pay RM40.

Whatever it is, jangan lupa semak butiran pada kad atau sijil nikah. Jangan terkena macam saya, bangsa Iban pada sijil nikah... Marah tahu..

Ukur baju di badan sendiri

What is it in English?? Hehehehe

Lately, I've been reading a few forums about property. And we even read the Valuation and Property Services Department's 3rd quarter of 2010 report.

Obviously, property value in KL and a few parts of Selangor increases align with the price, massively in year 2010.

It surprises me when many forumers manage to buy a RM600K++++ property and still have time to join the forum actively. I thought these rich people are too busy working to find more money rather than waste time in the forum eh?

Well, we definitely can't afford a RM600K property. Seriously, one has to pay approximately RM5-6K per month?? phew..

However, I have a different view on buying property. This is what my mom thought me: Buy a few moderate price property AT THE HIGH PROSPECT AREA rather than a huge, expensive one.

Reason one:
Let say I have 3 small / moderate houses by the price of RM600K when I sum-up the price. One is our house and the two other are for rent (self-paying). The other two are called investment because when the right time comes, we can sell it with higher price, (maybe double) without having to pay every month to the bank because we have tenants paying for it.

Reason two:
More property baby.. If we were in urgent need of money, we can sell off one of the properties and I'm sure we can get quite a sum when we settle the bank loan. But if I had one huge, expensive property, it's more difficult to sell it (sebab mahal sangat, susah nak cari buyer) plus, I need to find another place to live because I'm selling off my one and only property.

Reason three:
A guy in the forum pointed out that buying a pricey house for your second property to rent is not a good investment. Why? Because, whoever wants to rent a semi-d at the price of RM3K per month??? Lebih baik beli rumah sendiri beb. Lama2 jadi rumah kita berbanding bayar sewa RM3K sebulan, rumah tu rumah orang lain.

Anyway, this is my personal opinion and I'm not condemning others who have bought expensive houses.. It's your money to spend :)

Cake...

Happy Birthday dear husband..

And he loves ice-cream the most, so I bought him the BR ice-cream cake.. Sedapnye..

Selasa malam Rabu adalah malam suami main badminton hingga jam 12. Sepeninggalan suami bermain badminton, saya pun bertungkus lumus kemas rumah, lap lantai then mandi, pakai wangi2 dan baring2 tengok Supernatural :D

Lama oh, tunggu kat tingkap. Dah nampak kereta, keluarkan kek, pasang lilin besar di hall, tutup lampu.

Dia bukak pintu je, Happy Birthday sayang!

Maka, makanlah kek ice-cream nyaman 2 potong sorang.. Sedapnye....

ICe-cream cake BR, janganlah naik harga, kami sangat sukakan kamu...

Hadiah? MUNGKIN, aku bilang mungkin ;)

It'll never be enough..

At this point of my life, I'm glad I saved quite a big sum every month. (but sigh a little bit because it's still not enough..)

Anyway, refraining myself from all those trips and pretty clothes and shoes for the past few years has been worthwhile. At least I have this sum to proceed to the next level.

If everything went well for the next 3 months or less, I can slash one of my 2011's plans. I'm so nervous about tomorrow. Please pray for us that everything goes well :)

The first step..

The first step is always the hardest, isn't it?

But sooner or later, we still have to make it..

And so I did..

It'll be 18 months in February. I can't believe it has been that long.

Visiting Pa in the hospital these few days made me realised, I shouldn't wait any longer.

Therefore, I picked up the phone and dialed the number this morning..

Listened to her explanation for almost 10 minutes regarding the cost and procedures.

Silly me, I had tears when she told me that the 1st thing we should do is to be prepared with the result, whatever it will be.

Will be calling again in March to set the appointment.

Money, checked.. Mentally, half-checked....

$

Sayang awak sangat2..

Apa2 pun, permulaan tahun 2011 yang baik dengan perkara2 berikut:
1. Lulus PTK;
2. Dicalonkan untuk dapat "cek" (hehehe); dan
3. InsyaAllah, gaji batch saya naik tahun ni..

Alhamdulillah..

Decision, decision #2

Deciding on which house to buy is freaking hard. If we delay, the house is taken. If we rush, we might stumble on problems that we should have thought thoroughly before making the decision to purchase the house..

At last, yesterday we went to see a house that gave us that "good feeling" when we entered it. The ceiling is high so the house looks so spacious, even though the house is currently tenanted, the tenant takes really good care of the house, it's a ready-to-move-in condition. The house is higher than the road level, the road in front of the house is wide, many amenities nearby and the price is within our budget.

However, the agent said an interested buyer promises to place the booking last night at eight. So we told the agent, if the buyer didn't manage to come, etc, we are interested and do contact us.

We waited until 9.30pm but no news from the agent.

I'm disappointed.

When we missed a house, there's always one or two bad things about that particular house that we can think of in order to ease our heart. You know, being sour grapes :) But this house, it's so perfect, we love it so much...

Oh, well, Allah must have had better plan for us.. InsyaAllah..

Bangi

I always like B*ndar B*ru B*ngi..

Eventhough it's leasehold, BBB is always in our list..

Anyway, houses there are selling like pisang goreng panas.. Called the agent for the house advertised yesterday, the same answer received.. Booked!

In some way, it's scary.. People are so afraid of the insane price of property nowadays, it seems like everyone just grab anything which for them is a good bargain now.

You can't get a presentable double storey house below RM300K in BBB anymore.

Had a chat with an agent last night. And he gave us his piece of mind:
BBB is a good investment. Renting the property won't be a problem too. Average rent for a double storey is RM1K. So don't think 18 times when you saw one that attracts you. Letting go means someone else will take the house.

B*ndar B*ru S*lak T*nggi is for long time staying. If you are thinking of selling it in 5 years time, the price won't increase much because the development there is quite slow.

There is something not right about S*ujana P*chong he isn't telling but he said so many of them wants to sell their houses. You can get a big, nice corner house at the price of RM280K..

P*chong Ut*ma is freehold but the land area is small. 18x65 at the price of RM280K to RM300K.

Band*r Kinr*ra and Bandar B*kit Puch*ng is developing fast..

House price at B*ndar S*ri P*tra is increasing like crazy. Same like BBB, you can't no longer get RM300K for a double storey. G staff mostly bought there even though the toll costs you RM4.20 a day..

Buying at L*EP is quite risky because it's a well known abandoned project by T*lam Corp, bailed by IJ* Land. Some of the houses are showing problems now. So, be careful.

From our own observation:

D*sa P*nggiran P*tra is very expensive because it's the closes to Putrajaya and many bought there to stay for good.

Taman S*tera Kajang and P*ncak Utama Balakong are not bad too.. But there are so many factories nearby..

Went to S*ngai M*rab, the area is developing. There's a new rows of terrace house called Merab Persona. But it is not in a good area because the road is higher than the houses. The Semi-D there costs RM720K. Not liking the area, banyak sangat banglo besar tanah lot. Area tu macam untuk golongan pensioners. Amenities pun tak banyak.

We have 2 house appointments tomorrow.. We're started to get so tired from this house-hunting thing.. Praying hard that it'll be over soon..

And you can check the new Pekeliling Perbendaharaan Bil. 5 Tahun 2011 about G's house loan. For the pay we received now, we can get RM255K house loan. The problem is, is there a house selling at RM255K nowadays?

Btw, there's Pameran Hartanah Bumiputra from 7 to 9 Jan at Midvalley. So, let's go there..

It's 7th January 2011 and we are happily married for 17 months.. Alhamdulillah..

Till then..

Plans..

It's not too late to wish everyone Happy New Year, right? Happy New Year people!

New Year's Eve was spent sleeping but woke up a few seconds because of the fireworks then continued on sleeping.. Felt like an elderly couple..

New year, more plans to come.. I don't think it's lame to have new year's resolutions..

2010 was indeed a boring year for me, so I plan to give 2011 an exciting one..

At the end of last year, we fell in love with Bandar Seri Putra.. Yes, it's 30km to Putrajaya and almost 80km to KL but we love the neighbourhood so much.. It's nicely planned, it has school, suraus, KUIS is nearby and it's UML*nds. We went to UML*nd's sales gallery and asked for their upcoming projects nearby, the 450K terrace house is sold out and 2011's projects are clusters which starts at RM600K and Semi-Ds which starts at 700K.. *wipe sweats*

We have been to many areas 20-30km radius of Putrajaya and we want a freehold house so that it's easier to resell it, therefore it left us not much of a choice.. Kajang is just too hectic.. Freehold house in Puchong is either not in our range of budget or it's not worth the money because the build-up is so small..

And no, we haven't decided on the house yet.. Just the area for a start.. Hehe

For the passed month, we learned that in buying a house, we can never get everything we want. Of course, if we had hundreds of thousand in the bank account, we can just pick and choose any house. But we don't have that..

After sacrificing a lot through out the year being stingy and all, we are glad that we managed to focus on our most top priority. The traveling, the shoes, the bags, new gadgets, those can wait but the house, the longer we delay the higher the price will rise and the income we received won't make it to pay the monthly loan. Plus, a huge sum is needed for the down-payment, the legal fees, the stamping etc, etc. phewww

Second plan is get ourselves a baby. :) Firstly, we have to try the very best to breed our own, we'll go to the clinics, urut2an, medications modern, religious, homeopathy etc, etc.. And if it destined we can't get one, we'll adopt one. We are not getting any younger so we shall not waste more time.

Third is to shed 5 kgs. 5 kgs will do. I managed to retain my weight since April therefore in order to shed weight, I just have to do more activities OR to eat less and do more activities to make the plan achieved faster then I can make new plan later.. hehe

Fourth is to have beautiful skin and hair. I freaked out to see fine wrinkles near the eye and the hair isn't showing a healthy growth. I hate pimples and the black scars. So this year, I MUST dedicate myself a few minutes of 24 hours a day and a few days of 365 days a year for my beauty sake. I've started a new skin regime and so far, good signs are showing. Alhamdulillah..

Those are the 4 biggest plan for 2011..

Then I have a few 'small' resolutions like make full use of the daily book given by the G.. hehe

And of course, the MOST IMPORTANT one is to be a good ummah, wife, daughter, sister, friend and employee.. (Eh, the career went last.. hehe)

InsyaAllah..

Dream on..

Oh, I had the sweetest dream last night (even though I had trouble sleeping at first).. And I think I even had tears when I woke up.. If only the dream came true.. We'll just have to wait a few more days :)

Anyway, the 28 days period of 'confinement' is finally over. Yay, I can take leave again..

However, I don't think I'll be taking this 'second job' for long. February 5th 2011 marks the date of 4 years in service and I already filled in 'the form'. Receiving the email from HR is a bless and a relieve too.

So, she better start looking for a new candidate.. hehehe..

UPDATE:

Nope, it's negative..

Punishment

Currently, I have a huge ulcer at the back of my mouth near the throat.. I can't barely open my mouth to speak or even eat anything and my left cheek is swelling.. At night, I had trouble sleeping because it's very painful to swallow my own saliva.. Torture..

And I said, I must've done something to deserve this just a teeny weeny punishment from God but I'm glad that God still loves me and gave me this small misery as a reminder..

I remember having 8 ulcers at a time when I was wearing braces. Yes dear, 8 through out my mouth and tongue. Every time I wanted to eat or brush my teeth, I had to gargle warm salt water to numb the whole mouth. No wonder I shed kilos of weight during that 2 and 1/2 years of torture.

Anyway, from my own experience, warm salt water is the fastest cure for ulcer. Sometimes, I just put salt directly at the ulcer. Ah, imagine the pain and the tears..

Had 2 half cooked egg with a few dashes of black and cayenne pepper for breakfast and definitely broth or soup for lunch and dinner.. I miss solid food.. hehehe

Decision, decision

The phone kept on ringing.. From house agents..
I can't even keep track which agent with which house. Silly me. Maybe I should make a file for it. The organizer are filled with papers already.

The past few weeks were filled with house-hunting activities.. Went to see the houses after work which I think is the most appropriate time to go to that particular area during peak hours.

Got myself seduced with Apartment Anggun Bangi in Seksyen 4 BBB. A little bit expensive for just an Apartment, around 250K. But for investment purposes, why not? I'm sure once it is completed in 2012, the price might come to about 350K. There are a few units of type B still available if some of you are interested. No, I'm seduced with it but I didn't place my booking. Still having a war of mind about it.

Whatever it is, househunting is very tiring.. We can't wait to get ourselves The House. With the pace we're going right now, maybe we'll have one early next year. InsyaAllah. But no rest for the time being until we find one.

Well anyway, the houses occupied by tenants are usually dirty and not nice. Maybe, just maybe the tenant purposely did that as a protest because they were asked to leave the house in order for the owner to sell it. I think the owner should at least, vacant the house, clean it a little bit and only then classified it. Last Saturday, Ma and I went to have a look at a house in BBB, occupied by tenant. Euww, we went in there less than 5 mins. Leaking, very dirty, small but then 295K. Crazee..

Since we know that the house we're looking now may not be our last, we better find one with better prospect to resell it later on for us to buy a bigger house. That is the plan so far. However, those with good prospects are usually so near to town which result to traffic jam and that cannot be avoided.

Yesterday, we went to see a house in B*kit M*wah.. The interior is awesome. The owner bought the house, renovated it and wants to resell it at 320K. The price is out of our budget plus there are no surau or masjid nearby and the road in front the house is very narrow.

So far we don't want to combine our loan for some reason but the plan may change, we'll never know. And we can't buy something so expensive because our incomes won't make it to pay the monthly loan..

Due to this activity, I've abandoned my daily jog and the plan to lose some weight is postponed. Don't go asking other friend whether I'm pregnant or not because I'm just fat ok :D hehehe

2 in 1

Setiap hari, tengok barang best, tak jadi beli sebab nak simpan duit, nak beli rumah..

Sebulan sekali, tengok orang pergi merantau sana sini, tak dapat pergi.. Simpan duit, nak beli rumah..

Terngiang2: 10% deposit (3% booking 7% upon signing S&P).
Kalau takda cash di tangan pun susah tahu..

Oh, a'ah.. Sedang mencari rumah 2nd hand.

Sekarang sedang giat mencari rumah.. FB no more or jarang2.. Setiap malam tengok update orang nak jual rumah..

Stress tahu nak mencari rumah ni..

Nak yang murah tapi burok dan dekat;

Kawan-kawan kata, gabung la loan, lepas tu beli rumah 450K..
---> Lepastu tiap hari makan makanan kurang zat demi membayar duit rumah bulan2. Alahai, pendapatan isi rumah kami masih belum mampu untuk rumah sebegitu mahal.

Membuat keputusan untuk komitmen 30 tahun ni sangat susah...

Research, research, research...

Tahun 2011, usia 27, saya mahu:
1. Jadi umat, isteri dan pekerja yang baik;
2. Rumah;
3. Anak (hehehe); dan
4. badan yang kurus..

Ayuh!

Work and play..

2010 is coming to an end.. Is it just me, or everyone else feels that this year moves extremely fast?

I was asked once again to cover somebody else's work. An officer who's now undergoing his 6++ month course.

Yeah, I will get paid. A quarter of his basic salary monthly.

However, it's not about the money, it's about the responsibility.

Now, I have more work to do..

So, why am I wasting my time blogging about it now??? Haha, see ya..

p/s: I can't take leave for 28 freaking days which ends on the 26th. Since I still have 20 days more leave this year, should I or should I not take a 5 day leave straight from 27th to 31st??

House-hunting

Looking for a house is exhausting.. We went up to Sg. Long and got lost in Semenyih yesterday.. At the end of the day, I suffered from severe migraine and dear husband had to skip his weekly badminton session in order to take care of me.. Thanx abang..

Coming back to house-hunting, the house price is skyrocketing like crazy. An ugly, dirty, 1400sqf house in Bandar Baru Bangi can reach up to 300K which was only 200K in year 2009. Since there is no more new area launched within 10km radius of Putrajaya, we had no choice but to opt for 2nd hands. But it is not cheap.. Plus, some needs major renovation which costs more money.

*sigh*

House-hunting needs us to do homework, research and calculations; the leasing, the area, the market value (in case we got transferred to other state and need to rent the house), the distance, the time consuming, the build-up, etc, etc, etc.. Whether it's the cheap but ugly 2nd hands without renovation, more expensive 2nd hand but with some furnishing and renovation, or Bukit Mahkota's or Seri Putra's which are a bit far but nice beautiful houses..

*head-ache*

How I wish I can skip all these things and buying a house is as easy as choosing a blouse.

A year occupying the quarters have costs us almost 5K. Quite a big sum for something we paid which is not going to be ours. We have to find our own house quickly but...carefully.

We can combine our govt loans and buy a 400K house for instance BUT... our monthly income can't afford to pay that much monthly or to cough-up a big chunk on down-payment.. And I can't finish up my savings, I need to have some in case of emergencies.. Plus, we have to think of the extra monthly expenses when we had kids later on.. Ah, so much to think about.. This is why I hate being an adult.. hehe

Anyway, as we were browsing through properties on auction's websites, we came across a house. The reserved price is so much cheaper from the the market price for a house in that area. Asking here and there about the procedures. Luckily we have a friend who is kindly enough to help. However, in order to join in the bidding, we need place a deposit of 10% of the reserved price. So I guess, it's time to use up part of my savings and the EPF money..

Then, we need to do some research on the house itself before the bidding day and we haven't even had a look on the house yet. We are familiar with the area but we don't know the condition of the house. What ever it is, this is our first experience about auction and bidding. I'm kinda excited. Even if we decided not to go for the bidding or lost on the bidding, this is a new knowledge to learn.

No more Putrajaya Seafood

Last Thursday, Sis Yana came to stay overnight at my house because Ma's flight from Australia will be arriving at 3.30 Friday morning. Therefore, KLIA is so much nearer from Putrajaya than from Selayang. So, that night we wanted to eat something different other than mamak restaurant or Thai food.

Since I never ate at Putrajaya Seafood Restaurant, I brought them there. And here is the bill..

"Titbits" was the kacang rebus they served while waiting for the food. RM7 for a very small portion. There was no napkins, so they gave us wet towel and again, it was charged.

The wet towel

The place looks rather exclusive. The panoramic view is nice. The food was tasty except that the portion is very2 small.

However, the Stir Fried Chicken Chilly with Cashewnut had more cashewnut than the chicken itself so I would like to recommend it to be renamed as Stir Fried Cashewnut with Chicken Chilli instead.

Anyway, we were kind of disappointed with one of the waiters (whom didn't even wear a nametag).

Our waiter that night was a bit rude and clumsy. When we wanted to order the vegies, he recommended baby kailan but we ordered something else and he responded, "Suka hatilah" with the face as if he's angry we didn't order baby kailan. In the end, the vegies didn't arrive at all and when we asked about it, he said he forgot to place the order to the cook and no remorse shown on his face. He spilled the tomyam while serving us, no "excuse me" while preparing the plate or while serving the food, main tolak2 je suruh kita ke tepi.

He hold the spoon at the bowl of the spoon instead of the handle. Which I think it was not hygienic at all. Same went with the bowl. He didn't carry a tray but he carried the 4 bowls with his fingers tercelup ke dalam mangkuk itu. (Boleh imagine kan macam mane??) Eeeuuuuwwww...
So this is what we get with the 10% service charge?? Waiter Kenny Roger's pun lagi proper la...

No thank you, we won't come again or recommend this to our friends....

Things to ponder

I haven't been a good friend and in fact, I haven't been a good daughter either since getting married. No, I'm not blaming on the married life, I'm just a bad time manager. Always procrastinating on everything.

Therefore, when Ma confided to my sister saying she misses her baby daughter, I felt so guilty and made a promise to myself, I must make a habit to call Ma every day. Even how busy I am, what is a few minutes of my precious 24 hours a day compares to my mom.

Having a chat with Ma just now, she asked me a simple question.. "Why do I want children?"

So, Why do you want children??

Cepat jawab?

*

*

*

*

*

Sebab anak ialah pelengkap keluarga? ------> WRONG

*

*

*

*

Sebab nak bagi zuriat kepada suami? ------> WRONG

*

*

*

I answered, "It's for my afterlife. It's because children are the only thing left when I'm no longer here in this world that will continuously pray for me"

RIGHT!

So, when that is my niat, be it my own children or others, as long as I teach them well, insyaAllah that is the best treasure in this whole wide world..

Sobs...

Eh, eh, bukan hari ni, lagi 5 hari.. hehehe

Wasted..

Not that slang wasted.

A friend of mine, graduated in electrical engineer from one of the prestigious Uni in Korea quit his job as the govt engineer recently. He's an electrical engineering graduate and was asked to do civil engineering things. He couldn't cope and the work given were not his passion. So he resigned, currently working with one of the top international microchip companies and so happy with it.

Well, his contract stated, if the govt were unabled to offer him a job * year(s) after he graduated, he is no longer bonded with the contract. But if the job were offered within that * year(s), contractually, he must work with the govt for 4 to 5 years. My contract carries the same clauses, except for the sum of money sponsored of course. So I was kinda shock because I thought overseas scholars should be given more strict clauses. hehehehe

Luckily for him, the govt offered him the job AFTER * year(s) he graduated. So, when he felt he can no longer tahan with it (not doing what he has learned for 4 freaking years), he resigned. The contract was not breached so the govt loses another great person. When I say another, it means, this happens a lot..

It kept me wonder, didn't the "high fliers" there do any research on what particular sector is critical and needs sponsoring so that when these smart people graduate, they will fill in the empty posts needed in the govt sector rather than being asked to do jobs that are not related at all with what they have learned in the univ?

And when these students were sponsored hundred thousands of ringgit each, is * year(s) sufficient enough to bond them?

In the end, the private sectors are at the winning side. They don't have to sponsor anyone but they get all the good brains that were sponsored by our govt..

Bravo!
