No wonder I felt something is amiss in the month of March.

A night before 3rd March 2009, I was busy preparing my No.1 dress because the next morning....

Ah, I like wearing the No.1 dress and the messkit.. Don't you guys?

What will you do?

Currently, I'm covering a forty-one post, the main job is on assets. I don't have a head of unit. The super boss asked my colleague, which is a C scheme to cover the head of unit post, which is a forty-eight.

Unfortunately, she can't because the circulation said, if there is other M scheme in the unit, top priority is for the same scheme. I have another colleague but she applied for transfer months ago (recently got married) so she is not in this picture.

Some suggested, I stop covering for the forty-one and start covering for the forty-eight.

It's not about money because even if I'm covering for the head of unit, we'll divide the work equally among us and so is the money. However, that is the silent mutual agreement. If anything arises, the one covering for the job will have to take the full responsibility. Will I be able to handle that stress when the internal conflict and the job are at it's peak right now?

Well, the good thing about covering for the head of unit is the merit given. I was told, it will give you a good one for your career.

Ah, contemplating..

If you were at my place, what will you do? FYI, there's a big project coming up regarding Hospital Support Service.

Why

We had this small office party where we will draw a name and then bought a gift for that person.

And today, I received this.

I have no idea why. hehehe. What ever it is, thank you.

Who wants to borrow?? hehehehe

29 years..

No, that is not my age. hee..

I'm taking 2-day leave in May. A day before and after Wesak Day. It's time to use that passport again. HRMIS has been so far 'obedient' but only during non-office hours.

Took my time went through it this morning and I stumbled into this:

I choose to be in the service until I'm 56 only. 2040 is a very nice number eh? 33 years should be sufficient enough, I think. I may opt for early pension. We'll see.

I wonder, whatever will become of Malaysia in 29 years...

Everyday, I never stop wishing for a time traveling machine. Childish, I know.

I am eating my homemade fried meehoon while typing this entry. My current obsession is bell pepper. I put bell pepper in everything I cooked. However Wan doesn't fancy it that much. Wan eats his breakfast at home while I like to tapau it to work. Everytime I open my breakfast container, I will find extra tomatoes slices or bell pepper cubes in it. Ah, the husband that refuses to eat vegies.

Works are piling up on the tray and next to the tray. *sigh* It looks like this weekend will be another busy one again.

Meanwhile, where the heck is "that letter"?? Tomorrow marks 4 years and 1 month. haish...

Days, Months, Years..

3rd March 2011.

It'll be 19 months in 4 days.

Sorry, I can't stop counting.

I couldn't help it because I love numbers so much...

At peace

Life at the office was so peaceful today without any meeting to attend to...

A colleague commented I looked tired yesterday. So I immediately looked at my reflection. Hell I was, greasy skin, pale and chapped lips, unmanageable tudung. Selekehnya.

I made a vow to myself, on what ever situation, I should always look pleasant like an officer should. At least apply lipgloss to add colour to your face.

Anyway, it has been 2 months and the skin is showing positive sign. I'm glad it is. A bottle can last for 4 months, so RM50 per month is OK.

I read somewhere that applying aloe vera gel will lessen the redness of the pimple. It works wonders for me. I applied it overnight and a few nights after that (max days are 3 to 4) then the pimple just vanished. No pus, no black scar.

I have a new project this month. Which is to replace all shoulder pads for my baju kurung. All of it flatten until they don't look like I'm wearing any. And to tell you the truth, I only bought 1 new baju kurung last year which was for Hari Raya. I just realised about it when Ma pointed that out.

So, I bought a few pairs of kain for Ma to sew. Free tailoring, yay ;)

The closest

My boss once said, the closest to us is death and the unreachable to us is the past time.

I was so sad reading this. He died at the age of 28.

Wan said, arwah was a PTD. Googled his name, wanting to find more about him, until I came across his blog. I read a few of his entries and he seems like a remarkable man.

Semoga rohnya ditempatkan di kalangan orang2 yang beriman.

Oh my..

Remember this post of mine?

It seems that I was not the only one got cheated by this lady, err, guy..

Read here.

Seee, I was not being fussy or over reacted on how my reception turned out. Those who went to lodge police reports got cheated even worst by him (I'm using his original gender).

Too bad, he messed up with the wrong person. The latest victim will haunt him until she gets her money back..

Anyway, what are to happen to those who have engaged him and gave him the deposits for their upcoming events?

Lump-sum

I always have problem finding stuff to buy for Wan. He is a very simple man. He desires no new clothes, perfume, shoes, wallet, etc.. He only buys a new one until everything is totally worn up.

His passion is badminton. And things he always wanted is a Hon*a CR-V and there were a few times he mentioned a PS3. I can't afford the first one, and the latter, I wouldn't dare take the risk. Well, you know how man get addicted to games and "abandon" the wife, kids and housechores. hehe

However, this year I managed to strike one of his wish-list.

I hope he's happy with his new toy. A lump-sum present of this year's and last year's.

Work..

Some chose to stayback at the office to finish up their work.

But I usually chose to bring back work and tried to finish it up while having the TV on, going back and forth to the kitchen to find things to eat and sometimes got startled by the sound of Wan mengigau or snores.. Hehehe

I've been up since 4am. It's now 5 and it's raining outside.....

Unfriend the unfriendly people

I remembered someone said to me before, when your instinct feels that this person (whom you've known for quite sometime) doesn't like you, it's true, he/she doesn't like you.

Observed how he/she responded to you, you'll know.

I've learned to become a civilized, adult woman since 4 years ago. I know I have so much more to learn. I tried to control my temper, kept quiet rather than cursing when I'm angry and not to become emotional over simple things. Accepting criticism professionally is definitely one of them.

However when some chose to use a different platform to criticize, I tried not to turn into a psycho-maniac and do the same in order to humiliate him/her. Responding to that, I apologized, admitted what I did wrong, wish him/her the best in life and goodbye.

Oh, yes. A goodbye.

I wish people my age would grow up because the last time I checked, reality isn't a fairy tale.

Give me strength

Receiving this everyday in my inbox definitely isn't helping.. hehe

Move on...

Did I mention that the head of my Ministry reached his 58th birthday end of last month? The third top person has been promoted to his place (the second is also retiring this year) and my head of department is now the third top person which is in charge of the Ministry's finance..

Finally, one of the top management people remembers my name.. haha.. Oh well, it is a rare opportunity to happen when you work in the 2nd biggest ministry in the whole country.. Lucky for our department.. (Errr, lucky in this context is a very subjective word..)

Not having the immediate boss is not easy. It's freaking hard. And it becomes harder when the bosses... err.. *clear throat* full-stop.. hahaha..

Work was and still is very hectic. A few days after the accident, we had a meeting for 2 days in PD and I have not rest eversince. I have done the minute and report. There will be a session with the new head of ministry tomorrow.

phew..

February is coming to an end. March is approaching. The JKPAK cycle will start all over again. The second meeting is schedule in April. *scream*

I don't have an immediate boss, the unit I'm covering doesn't have one either. Ahh, imagine the difficulties.. I have been going up and down seeing the head of department himself everyday.. huhu

Kerja itu ibadat. Kerja itu ibadat... That's what I kept on telling myself..

***
I thought we couldn't make it for our movie session last night, but things turned out differently. Alhamdulillah, the tickets are not wasted. So Sanctum it is. I'm a hydrophobic. I was not comfortable at all watching that movie. Caves+water+darkness is not my cup of tea... It's a must watch movie because it was produced by James Cameron.. hehe

***
If everything ran smoothly, this year's Ramadhan will be our last in P17 Putrajaya. InsyaAllah we'll be moving to another neighbourhood. Anyway, it's still too early to mention anything. That's all I can say for the time being. The lips are sealed. Pray for us that we won't stumble upon any misfortune.. :) There are still a few months left. We have more time to save money. No bags, clothes, shoes, traveling, eating out, etc for the next 8 months.. huhuhu

Painful entry..

My whole body aches..

I don't know what has gotten into me. I'm forgetful, I said things which is not in my mind eg: instead of "Lipat kain", I said "lipat ampaian", instead of "makan roti", i said "makan susu", when I wanted to brush my teeth, I went to the kitchen instead. It happened soooooooooooo many times and the climax of all, instead of the brake pedal, I stepped into the accelerator pedal. At almost 40km/j (I think so sebab sangat laju), I rammed into the parking lot pillar..

There goes my car again, into the workshop.. I can't barely look at her.. So teruk.. No choice but to make claims with the insurance.. Ah, good bye "55% No Claim Bonus"..

After a day, the bruises are showing up all over my body. My neck hurts because of the strong impact.. My right arms is swollen all over. It's painful to move the arm..

Husband and Ma asked me to take leave. But since I no longer have a boss (she's now pursuing her Masters) and another colleague is on a long wedding leave plus, we are organizing an important meeting next week, need to complete paper for Board A before end of this month and I'm covering for another post and... (ok, we geddit, you got so much work) I just couldn't leave everything to my one and only colleague.. Pity her..

Well, I have difficulties to close my eyes or letting my mind wandering around anyway. Maybe because I'm still in shock. Imagine me staying alone at our home, boleh jerit2 like in the movie since this is not my 1st time involved with car accident.. Ye ker?

This is my second accident in 5 years. I may not have the chemistry with that car.. Maybe? Should I change my car? A manual one kot? Jadi, kena la polish semula skill memandu manual :D Ke aku kena pergi mandi bunga?? hehe, kidding..

Setakat ni sama..

Siapa tengok cerita Hani, TV3, hari Selasa, jam 9 malam?

Persamaan 1.
1 Litre of Tears: Bapa Aya ada kedai jual tofu.
Hani: Bapa Hani ada kedai dobi.

Persamaan 2.
1 Litre of Tears: Ibu Aya kerja di sektor kesihatan.
Hani: Ibu Hani merupakan seorang jururawat.

Persamaan 3.
1 Litre of Tears: Aya ada seorang adik lelaki dan seorang adik perempuan.
Hani: Hani pun sama.

Persamaan 4.
1 Litre of Tears: Aya main bola keranjang di sekolah.
Hani: Hani main bola jaring.

Persamaan 5.
1 Litre of Tears: Haruto (watak hero) ialah lelaki muram yang punya seorang ayah doktor dan marah pada ayahnya kerana tidak menyelamatkan abangnya yang telah meninggal dunia.
Hani: Watak Irfan pun sama, sebijik..

Persamaan 6.
1 Litre of Tears: Aya sakit Spinocerebellar Degeneration Disease. Incurable.
Hani: Hani sakit barah otak. (Biasala cerita Melayu, barah otak ialah penyakit paling femes).

Persamaan 7.
1 Litre of Tears: Aya tak boleh masuk sekolah biasa lagi sebab dia tak boleh berjalan, jadi masuk sekolah khas.
Hani: Hani jadi buta selepas pembedahan, masuk sekolah untuk orang buta..

Bila baca sipnosis episod seterusnya, setakat ni jer lah yang sama. Takkan nak tiru sampai habis kan. Tu namanya ciplak tak de idea sendiri.

4 Years..

4 years ago, on the night of 4th Feb 2007, I was doing this.

Not knowing that on 5th of February 2007, I'll be meeting awesome people that will be working scattered all over Malaysia.

Not knowing that 10days after 5th February, I'll be working in that same spot I am now which I sometimes love and hate..

Not knowing that I'll get to know my soul mate in our batch forum. hee

Happy 4th Year in the Service PTD Batch 1/2007 and Happy Birthday Mala.

Now, let's pray that we'll receive *that letter* soon. *wink*

18 months..

It'll be eighteen months in 4 days..

Last Tuesday, we finally dragged ourselves to Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor to make our kad nikah. Sila gelak sebab dah lambat baru nak buat tapi gelak juga pada Din&Malia, mereka pun baru nak buat.

Boleh pulak jumpe mereka di JAIS.

The procedure took us less than 10 minutes.

Bring along a copy of your nikah cert, a picture of the husband and the wife then fill in the form (that time was blue in colour). Submit everything to the counter and pay RM40.

Whatever it is, jangan lupa semak butiran pada kad atau sijil nikah. Jangan terkena macam saya, bangsa Iban pada sijil nikah... Marah tahu..

Ukur baju di badan sendiri

What is it in English?? Hehehehe

Lately, I've been reading a few forums about property. And we even read the Valuation and Property Services Department's 3rd quarter of 2010 report.

Obviously, property value in KL and a few parts of Selangor increases align with the price, massively in year 2010.

It surprises me when many forumers manage to buy a RM600K++++ property and still have time to join the forum actively. I thought these rich people are too busy working to find more money rather than waste time in the forum eh?

Well, we definitely can't afford a RM600K property. Seriously, one has to pay approximately RM5-6K per month?? phew..

However, I have a different view on buying property. This is what my mom thought me: Buy a few moderate price property AT THE HIGH PROSPECT AREA rather than a huge, expensive one.

Reason one:
Let say I have 3 small / moderate houses by the price of RM600K when I sum-up the price. One is our house and the two other are for rent (self-paying). The other two are called investment because when the right time comes, we can sell it with higher price, (maybe double) without having to pay every month to the bank because we have tenants paying for it.

Reason two:
More property baby.. If we were in urgent need of money, we can sell off one of the properties and I'm sure we can get quite a sum when we settle the bank loan. But if I had one huge, expensive property, it's more difficult to sell it (sebab mahal sangat, susah nak cari buyer) plus, I need to find another place to live because I'm selling off my one and only property.

Reason three:
A guy in the forum pointed out that buying a pricey house for your second property to rent is not a good investment. Why? Because, whoever wants to rent a semi-d at the price of RM3K per month??? Lebih baik beli rumah sendiri beb. Lama2 jadi rumah kita berbanding bayar sewa RM3K sebulan, rumah tu rumah orang lain.

Anyway, this is my personal opinion and I'm not condemning others who have bought expensive houses.. It's your money to spend :)

Cake...

Happy Birthday dear husband..

And he loves ice-cream the most, so I bought him the BR ice-cream cake.. Sedapnye..

Selasa malam Rabu adalah malam suami main badminton hingga jam 12. Sepeninggalan suami bermain badminton, saya pun bertungkus lumus kemas rumah, lap lantai then mandi, pakai wangi2 dan baring2 tengok Supernatural :D

Lama oh, tunggu kat tingkap. Dah nampak kereta, keluarkan kek, pasang lilin besar di hall, tutup lampu.

Dia bukak pintu je, Happy Birthday sayang!

Maka, makanlah kek ice-cream nyaman 2 potong sorang.. Sedapnye....

ICe-cream cake BR, janganlah naik harga, kami sangat sukakan kamu...

Hadiah? Atas desakan kewangan buat sementara waktu ini, hadiah harijadi mungkin akan di'lump-sum dengan tahun depan. MUNGKIN, aku bilang mungkin ;)

It'll never be enough..

At this point of my life, I'm glad I saved quite a big sum every month. (but sigh a little bit because it's still not enough..)

Anyway, refraining myself from all those trips and pretty clothes and shoes for the past few years has been worthwhile. At least I have this sum to proceed to the next level.

If everything went well for the next 3 months or less, I can slash one of my 2011's plans. I'm so nervous about tomorrow. Please pray for us that everything goes well :)
