Geli2..

Eversince I have this knee pain, I dont use toilet cangkung anymore. Yang peliknye kan kat Malaysia ni, even how clean the toilet duduk is, mesti ada orang nak bercangkung atas toilet duduk.

Gila ape?

If nak mancangkung atas toilet duduk, nape tak pilih toilet cangkung jer?

Walaupun tiada sanitizer, at least it is so much better than not washing at all!!!

Saya ni OCD sikit. Kali pertama tengok contoh spesimen air bawah mikroskop, saya dah geli2 tengok mikroorganisma yang berjuta2 lemon tu..

~Mandi dengan air dettol mase modul luar DPA. Baru rase fresh and bersih

Not enough..

While I was driving this morning, I heard from the radio that sex education during PLKN will be revised.

Generally, the purpose of sex education is to prevent the increasing case of illegal abortion and abandoning babies in the trash.. However, the community concerns that the education alone won't be enough to prevent all these problems. It will only induce the sex activity among the teenagers without getting preggie.

I learned that particular education from my secondary syllabus. No, my parents never thought me anything about this at all. I was 1st introduced to that thing during Form3's Science subject. It got deeper when I learn Biology.

My Biology teacher even asked the female students to draw the male's reproduction system and vice versa. She showed us condom, the birth control pills, how IUD is done. Tapi takla sampai tahap menyarungkan kondom pada pisang seperti dalam cerita Never Been Kissed ;)

Then it got more complicated when learning Biology during Matrix where I never got an A for that subject. Anyway, for those who don't take Biology for SPM, they still learn that in their SPM's Science subject. I had flipped through the science book and I discovered that Science subject for art students is just a combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

The sex education is already in the syllabus. The male and female reproduction system, how women get preggie, knowing the STDs, ways to control pregnancy, ways to conceive. Everyone learns that. It was just not called Sex Education.

The sad thing about this is, it happens among the Malay, the so-called Muslim..

Nauzubillah hi minzalik..

Spending $$$$

Seriously I need to buy a new handphone..
Eversince my phone was thrown during the accident a year ago, it's getting crazier and uglier..

Mine is a flip phone. I always slept on my phone with the flip opened.. It has all this big cracks at the join part..I guess, one day I'll wake up with my phone broken to 2 pieces..hehehe..

My ideal handphone is as slim and light as can be.. Easier to fit into my handbag..
I don't go for all the hi-tech gadget in it.. I just need the camera, mp3, sms, mms and application to write notes because my memory thing is getting rustier each day..

I am doing my personal budgeting for year 2009 now..
I have about RM150 extras each month after excluding all the expenses and savings..

I guess, if I managed to restrain myself from buying any accessories (clothes, handbags, shoes) for 6 months, I'll buy myself a new handphone as a birthday present..

Achievable? =)

~2009's wish list..

Depressed...

I need a time break...
Feels like running away to a secluded place and have no interaction with the outside world..

A friend once told me, keeping things to yourself and trying to please everyone around you will only hurt yourself in the end.. Yeah, it's true..

~Owh, my puffy eyes...

Melancholy....

It's just freaking sad when you tried to do something nice and the other person misunderstood for the other way round..

Then, just might else well keep things as usual because all you did are misapprehended as hurting the other person's ego..

Sigh..

There is this workshop organized by my Dept.. Short notice were given to me which I have to substitute this other officer. Then I wanted to upgrade my room so that I can bring Ma along but they told me everything was fixed and nothing can be changed..

I've already made my plan to spend time with Ma this weekend. Thought of waking up a bit late and bermalas2an sms'ing Wan at 5am on Saturday morning like usual.

Mlsnyer...........

BTW, the hotel's name is Hotel Le Paris.. hehehe

Am still here, loved and beloved..

No wonder today's date seems so familiar..

A year ago, an accident nearly killed me.. If I wasnt lucky enough and that day was the day I should leave this world, I may have landed just a few feet from the kerb then I was gone..

I wouldnt be lying on my bed, listening to Anuar Zain's songs and typing this entry with a glistening engagement ring on my ring finger..

When you are at the brink of death, even you have only a few seconds to think, everything in your life gushes through your mind like a movie without a sound. People you love, things you've done, memories with the loved ones. Then you'll be wishing for another chance to live or maybe just an opportunity to see the one you love for one last time to tell them how much you love them.

The accident had made me to be more appreciative in life. I can control my temper better now. When I'm getting angry with anyone, I will think what if this is the last time you'll meet that person.

Talking about temper, I always remember this story Ma told me long ago. About a father telling his bad tempered son on how to control his temper. The father gave his son a wooden board and a box of nail.

Everytime the son got angry, the father asked him to embed a nail on the board. But each time he managed to control his temper and apologize, he can pull a nail from the board. Later, the board was fulled with nails. The son realized how many people he had hurt so he's trying to control his temper. Nails on the board were getting lesser each day.

And one day, there was no nail at all. He excitedly showed his father the board. The father asked him to feel the board with his fingers. And the father said, you had hurt people around you when you got angry but later you apologized. However, everytime you got angry, you actually left a scar in their hearts like the holes in the board. (Lebih kurang macma tu lah ceritanya :)

Anyway, life is short. You'll never know when is your time to go.

So love everyone in your life and live the life the way you are asked to, to the fullest.

I dont cook..

I just ate this delicious mee goreng cooked by Ma..

Amazingly, she can cook it in barely 15 mins.. One time I heard the lesung banging and 10mins later when I went to the kitchen, there it was packed it the brown paper nasi lemak style..

Ma really amazes me on how she manages to cook a few dishes at 1 time..
When I tried to do the same, one ended hangus and the other ended up tak sedap...
30 over years of experiences may have made her efficient in doing so, but still some people stay at the same stage..

Ma likes to modify anything she learned from the book or the cooking show according to her taste and ours..
Her spaghetti has cili padi in it and not as sour as the Italian style.. But we love it so much ;)

I'm still in the process of learning how to cook.. When I was in my Uni years, I used to do the cooking thing quite a lot when I went back home during weekends.. But I noticed that I haven't done much ever since.. Especially after I went back from DPA.. Hmmph, not good..

I will be a wife in less than a year.. Ma said, I should be preparing myself from now on..

For now, when I'm so tired after the long journey back home from the office, I can just lay down and fall asleep waking up the next morning not affecting anyone.. Ma is there to do the cooking and the house thing.. But later when I have a husband and a home to take care of, even how tired I am, the duty is mine as a wifey..

Anyway, to my dear future husband,
Just want you to know that,
I love to clean and tidy things up but cooking is not my thing..
I can cook but I cant promise you that it'll turn nice all the time..
I have a very severe PMS every month which will make me into a very cranky and sensitive person..
I hate people who mess things around the house like leaving the sugar jar opened..
I have migraine when I don't eat my meal on time..
I cannot siang the fish because it'll make my hands itchy..hehehe
And to be a the good wife is my promise to you...

Temuduga...

Saya pergi temuduga tapisan keselamatan tadi.. Luckily, KKM takde soalan di Parlimen, takdelah rase bersalah for leaving my partner all alone kat Parlimen..

Neway, semua yang korang kate soalan temuduga tapisan keselamatan tu kacang, dusta belaka sebab soalan2 saya macam nak interview masuk kerja..

Beberapa contoh soalan:

1. Apa itu definisi Rahsia?

Then after soalan2 tentang peribadi (termasuk lah no.IC tunang ;), datanglah soalan2 yang bagi saya, saya rela lagi disuruh berdiri tegak and baca Rukun Negara seperti yang Mala buat semasa menemuduga orang..hehehe

1. Apakan pandangan anda terhadap senario politik Malaysia?

Untunglah saya dah pergi BTN, and semua jawapan adalah ayat2 fasilitator BTN..

Ayoyo...
Or adakah ini nak menguji how discreetly I am in giving my opinions?
I was in there for 45 mins!!! Sampai Emma, my pengadil cakap, "Pesal ko lama sangat dating dalam tu.." And Emma went in there afterward merely 15mins..

Ma telah menakutkan saya dengan mengatakan I should have said,
I am entitled to my own opinions and I would not disclose them to anyone..
Waaa, saya kini sudah takut..
Should I or should I not tell him what I've been asked?
Korang rasa ni soalan2 trick ker?

Sebelum ditemuduga as calon, saya berpengalaman jadi pengadil Emma Khamis lepas..
Again, soalan2 THE BOMB..

Apakah kekuatan beliau?
Bagaimana beliau memimpin sesuatu kumpulan?
Adakah beliau layak memegang jawatan sekarang?

Wow, my mind was not prepared for those sort of questions.. Tapi goreng sajelah..

Hmm, I'm worried...

How he sees me when I'm saying all those things..

Takuuuuuutttttttnyer..................

Murderer..

Bila dikorek2 tong sampah itu, hanya lah ade kulit gula2 and APPLE CORE..

Pagi tadi lalu Pantry Room, wekkkk,(jadi macam Farah kejap..) Busuk amat2 tong sampahnyer.. Bayangkanlah sampah2 makanan yang tak dikutip 2 hari masa cuti hari minggu.. Eeeee, memang busuk gilers...

Dulu vacuum tiap hari, sekarang memang seminggu sekali..

Lelaki oh lelaki..

See this empty bottle..
You'll see this thing will remain empty for the next few days..

Don't know what happen to the guys here in my office.
They just doesn't have the initiative to get things done without being asked.
I got irritated because I need to go all the way in front to clear my thirst, so I change this thing myself.. Saya angkat botol 5 gelen ini dan menukarnye..

Tak percaya?
Tak kuasa dah everytime dah kosong, nak suruh orang tukar..

Aderla dlm 10m..

I always change this early in the morning.. Maybe I should do this during semua guy's staff ade. Baru lar mereka rasa tercabar. Tak gitu?

Woi, nak dapat pahala kene buat senyap2 ar... hahahaha

Romance, do they last?

It's almost 10 and I haven't touch anything on my desk today.. Ouch..

Anyway, I have finished reading Mitch Albom's, For One More Day and reading another by Nicholas Sparks, Dear John..

Call me a sentimentalist for I used to be a sucker for romance novel. English romance novel. Having sisters 8, 7 and 4 years older, I first started reading Judith McNaught when I was 10 when I saw they were so engrossed with it. Lots of thing I didn't understand that time but I just cont on reading and rereading all over again when I get older.

Then, I was lost in Jeffrey Archer's. I finished reading As the Crow Flies in just 2 days. Lecture notes were put away and time were spent reading Archer's novels that I borrowed from the library.

After Uni years, I noticed that I haven't read much.. Most of the time were spent 'SMS'ing Wan..Hehehe.. Till now..

Mitch Albom's For One More Day is as good as Tuesdays With Morrie. A simple book with deep, strong words that touches your heart. For those who have issues with their mothers, I suggest you read this book. Then you'll realize a mother's sacrifices you have long forgotten..

I always like Nicholas Spark's.. Romance novel written from a man's point of view differs from the usual McNaught's, Steel's, Garwood's, Deveroux's and many others.

Talking about romance and stuff, I was rummaging a box inside my cupboard a few days back. Things from my past, cards, dried flowers, eccentric notes passed during classes, autograph books and this letter I received when I was 14 from a secret admirer.

I was popular in school for being the pure, obedient and excel student. The summary for that is a NERD..haha.. But my clique during that time were from those who were popular-because-they-are-pretty type of people.. Nerd nerd pun, I had a very hunky boyfriend mase tu tau..hehehe..

Therefore it was something bizarre for receiving letter from a secret admirer because I was just a boringplainjane during school years. The words in it were nicely formed that made me terawang2 when I read it..hahaha.. He even wrote "I like u" all over my table and on the blackboard..

The secret admirer asked to meet but I didn't show up. Then everything stopped..

But I still kept his letter for remembrance ;)

Wan never wrote me a love letter. He's a man who doesn't write but he had done and said so many lovely things..

When I was going away for OBS, he waited till the bus was no longer seen.

He surprised me on the morning I was leaving for Tentera Module and waited till the bus left.

He is willing to stroll in the rain to get me things.

He wakes up early everyday because he needs to arrive at my house to pick me up to work.

He sings in the phone to cheer me up..

Surprises me with flowers and gifts..

Concerns when I'm not eating my meal on time because I'll have migraine later..

And yesterday, when I said, "Air bandung ni manis sangat lar"
He replied spontaneously, "Manis lagi gefren abg".. Awwwwwww.....

Nonie said this honeymoon years I'm having now will finally comes to an end, because the guy will no longer bother to do all those things anymore.. Hmmm...

But I have seen couples who remain having romantic relationship even after 20 years of marriage. The hubby calls and texts when they are apart, flourish with cheeky notes and gifts..
I guess, they are the lucky ones.. And that relationship does exist..

~Praying for the best..

Forgive me, for I have sinned..

I have sinned for wasting time today ;)

This is Ron.. Given to me by a darling friend of mine on my birthday last year..
The card wrote :
Yaya,
You're sweet, kind and charming.
You're simply one in a million.
Nice words eh.. Told you he's a charmer..

My birthday fell on a public holiday last year, so Ron was placed on my table a few days before..

I get to know this friend during PTD Unggul. We're in the same LDK and end up in the same Ministry.. A nice friend to be with.. He speaks his mind (dengan sgguh emosi kdg2 ;), he reads and we think alike.. (kan, kan ;)

Although we don't talk much anymore and spending less time together, u r one of a kind. Dont work too hard ya. Nanti makin kurus..

Keep on being a charmer =)

For the sake of menanggung kerja..

Engagement should be a discreet ceremony known only by family members and close friends. Neway, for those who read my blog, I'm getting engage tomorrow.. And I'm still at work today..

I am menanggung kerja so I cant take leave for 28 days from the date start. If I did take leave, the date will restart on the day after I took leave and the payment will also starts on that day.. So, for the sake of the payment, I am here resting my butt on this chair..

Yang tak acinya, Wan took 2days off.. Today and Monday.. Sleepy and tired from last nite's staying up adding beads on my baju tunang, I had to force myself to wake up and drove to Putrajaya.. I bring along my baju sebab tak habis lagi sewing those beads. Tu lar gatal.. Ngade adding another section of beading work on my baju and I thought I can finish it last night. Too bad, I dozed off with the tv and light on till morning.

Thought of going back early today but I have a meeting later in the afternoon.
I may have to stay up again tonight making sure everything is proper and the house is neat and clean for the occasion tomorrow. Sis Yana will arrive today. Hope Bro Pian is willingly rajin to help around..

I'm so sleepy and not in the mood of doing anything today.. I should have been at home today helping Ma.. =(

~Shite, I have pimple on my nose... Grrrrrrrrrr

Gaji dah masuk yer..

Today is payday..If I haven't any emergency to get a new eyeliner I wouldn't have gone to Alamanda.
As what I've been observing for the past a year++, Alamanda will be full with people a few days before pay day (that is to finish up all the remaining cents they have) and on the day and a few days after the salary is banked in (to belanja sakan).

We ate at Rasa which is unbelievably lots of empty tables compare to ordinary days. Well, I guess, payday means deserving more expensive food other than typical nasi+lauk+sayur. All the fast foods were full house as what I expected.

It's ok for me to eat at cheaper place. (Siap bawa termos ada air sarsi sejuk.) As long as I have carbs, protein, lots of vegies and went back to the office with a full tummy..

Well, I am not buying any new shoes or clothes, strictly. Sampaila habis semua preparation nak kahwin ni which is another 9 to 10 months to go..hehe.. Just realized that I have too much to wear.

My clothes are piling up and none were given to the unfortunates. (Been taken good care of my clothes and havent gain any weight or height since secondary)

~Esok abg nak air sarsi ke air mango? hehe

Siapa yang macam ni tiap hari???

Hope To Come Here Again

I went for my Umrah 10 years ago along with the rest of the family plus my arwah opah but without Sis Yana who was still in Belfast that time and .

I miss this place terribly. If I had the money, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else other than here. No Paris, UK, New York, New Zealand bla, bla, bla but only the Holy Land of Mekah.

I remember it was during Malaysian Commonwealth Games, we were already on the plane to Madinah. I was in Form 2 and my youngest brother was just in Std 1.

I remember how I burst into tears the 1st time I set eyes on Kaabah. Even my 7 year old Bro Wan was crying. How lucky I am to ever set foot here.

Anyway, being so young and lack a other few things, we (Sis Yani, Sis Yanti and I) sometimes treated the Umrah macam melancong and didn't make full use of the time we had to make as much umrah as we could. I regret that till now. After Subuh prayer we always went shopping.. Hee..

I remember we always woke up late. The Subuh azan was recited twice. The 1st time is like a waking call and the 2nd one is the real Subuh azan. My sweet arwah opah always the 1st one to wake up and prepare herself but she had to wait for the lazy grand daughters to get ready instead.

Ape lagi, kami akan berjalan laju2 supaya tak lewat solat Subuh berjemaah. Sekali dengan opah kena jalan laju dengan kami. Miracle nye berada di Mekah and Madinah, semua sakit2 hilang. Sakit kaki opah pun takde and boleh jalan laju dengan kami.
Cepat Opah, nanti lambat.
Sian Opah.I miss those moments. 10 years ago, Sis Yani was 21, Sis Yanti was 18 and Bro Pian was 13.

After the 1st umrah, kedua-duanye botak kepala and ade ade dua "toyol" bersama2 kami. Bila Pa, Bro Pian and Bro Wan jalan sama2, they looked so cute together..

I wish to go here again. I'm saving up my money and nak ajak Abg pergi sekali lepas kahwin ;) InshaAllah

It's all about money

Eating outside is not cheap these days.
Nasi+lauk= minimum is RM5
Drinks=RM2.

Inclusive of breakfast, total round up will make it RM10 per day.
Assuming we work 22days per month (minus the weekends), minimum is RM220.
For my new monthly budget, I just put RM150 for food. (Gee, getting married is no joke. It's all about $$)

A cheapskate I am. I bring my own home made breakfast and don't buy any drink during lunch. (kan Abg?) I drink when I get back to my office. And I have the 5-10mins gap of no drink after eating. (Seriously it's true, my nutrition lecturer, Prof. Suriah said:
No bath or drink after heavy meals will prevent us from getting buncit.
And I practice those tips during my degree years, betul menjadi. You can ask my housemate, I ate a lot and remained having flat tummy. No sit-up or exercise were done during that period of time.
And during DPA, those tips were left undone. And now, excess baggage on my tummy. *sigh*

Anyway, how to save money and still have a full tummy:
1) Bawa bekal which need full commitments to wake up early to prepare for your food.
2) Don't order drinks and bring along your tumbler to the cafe.

Well, Papa has sensitive stomach. He cant eat outside food. So Mama had to prepare his lunch EVERYDAY. Although his office was in Tabung Haji Building, he still hit the road at 6.30am to avoid the jam at Jln Kuching. So Mama had to wake up at 5.30am to cook fresh food or heated what we ate during dinner the previous night.

Eventhough Papa is no longer working, Mama just cant make herself sit doing nothing after her Subuh prayer. She will pack me breakfast. (Sometimes I did it myself.) When she has the time, she will cook yummy nasi goreng or mee goreng or bihun goreng. or most of the time, she packs me wholemeal bread with peanut butter and jelly. Saving me a few bucks per day.

It is what the wives did during those days eh. Woke-up early to prepare breakfast and lunch for the family to save a few bucks and providing good food, settle-up the laundry and hung them to dry before went to work, get the children ready for school, yada, yada, yada... Mama used to do all those things and she even sewed our baju kurung for four girls.

Being a career woman and having the money to have maids and buy everything from the shop making them do less and less work as a wife. Planning of getting married next year, make me think of lots of things. Am I able to do all those things Mama did back then. It may be too early to think about kids but I dont want my kids to spend more time with my maid rather than with me. (IF I have to take a maid. Because Wan doesnt like the idea of having maid. If taknak maid, kene rajin2 buat kerja rumah tau)

~Tak nak jadi housewife. I want to have money on my own. But what is money when you can't give love to your children kan??
