His business trip...

...my mini holiday. :)

Here I am in my room, waiting for Wan. It was raining this morning. Wan woke up at 5.30 for last minute touch-up for today's meeting, he only slept for 4 hours.

Ditched my plan for a stroll at the mall and stayed in the room after breakfast.

The breakfast is ok; many choices but the sambal nasi lemak is very2 spicy.

We stayed here:

The Zenith Hotel Kuantan

It has limited basement parking space shared with the new international convention centre. At the moment, the parking is free.

The spacious main lobby

East Coast Mall is just across the street.

Can't go up without the card

Deluxe Room, Govt rate at RM261

Mini Folder on Hotel's Information and Directory

Refuse to go to the meeting

We hardly see this anymore.. Hehehe.. Habis siaran at 12am

Shower and Bath Tub. The shower gel smells like Wan's car freshener.

Complete with weighing scale and face mirror

Bath-robe, slippers, iron, safety box, hairdryer and torch-light

Not the ordinary plastic bag

The Mini Bar

I miss the traditional metal tea-spoons

The charming husband

And the girl who came with him

I threw this little bug out of the room last night but only to find it slept in one of my shoes this morning. I was half shrieking.

Helping him while he attended his night meeting

Yay, finished

Good night

So, where's your next business trip darling?? hehehe

Free

Organizing meetings or courses outstation is very tiring indeed. Especially when it involves the top people.

However, I'll make sure I bring back this:

to refill my refreshments at the office.. hehehe

Tag along

I love to tag along Wan to his outstation meetings.

Last December was Alor Setar and we stayed at Holiday Villa.

Standard room.

Toilet with bath tub

The mini bar.

The view from our room

The room is clean, no strains of hair on the carpet, no mold on the bathroom wall, received a copy of newspaper in the morning however, the heater was not consistent (sometimes it suddenly became extremely hot).

The first meeting will start in the night at 9pm, so we took our time to walk around Alor Star. There's a shopping complex next to Holiday Villa, (err, actually both are in the same building), but the shopping complex is more or less like Warta Bangi without Guardian and supermarket. Yes, no supermarket. You have to walk to 7-E across the street to get yourself something to munch.

Pekan Rabu

Shops selling Haj stuff and tudungs

Jejantas with escalator. Later was told by Shidi that people refused to use the jejantas before the escalator was built. But you can see Malaysian are very degil.

There's nothing much to see. Bought a few bottles of kuah rojak. Shidi (Wan's bestfriend during DPA) is coming to Alor Star too that night after his meeting because he had another meeting the next day, but both finished late so I had dozed off waiting for them for the late supper.

So we decided to meet up the next day after their meetings.

Checked-out at 12pm. Shidi's still in the meeting.

Went to the tower, unfortunately it is under construction.

Us

Dirty

Uncivilised

Invisible bench

No kissing ok

Shidi came 1 1/2 hour later. Huhuhu. He treated us lunch and had a chat for a while before he had to dash to his brother's nikah ceremony. A very busy man indeed. His staff even came all the way from Sg. Petani for him to sign last minute payment vouchers during our lunch.

Bid goodbye and took off at 2pm++. Arrived home exhausted at 10pm.. Massive traffic jam because it was raining heavily.

So, who are we meeting in Kuantan tomorrow? :)

Anxious

Waved Mr.Husband goodbye at the door and continued golek2 on the bed..

I was given MC today.

Done with HSG just now. Read the diagnosis and told my sister about it. Me not like what I heard.

Try not to think about it at the moment and took 2 days leave to follow Wan to Kuantan for meetings tomorrow. We'll be staying at Zenith Kuantan. heee..

LPPKN referred me to do HSG at Daya X-ray Centre, located at Bangunan DBKL. The clinic is err, old. The equipments are old too plus the doctor. Hehe, no offense :) The girl who did it before me looked sick and pale when she went out of the room. It made me feel very uneasy. But I kept thinking that labour pain will be so much worst than this and of course, Wan continuously trying to make me calm. hee

So, at the end, it was ok for me. The procedure only took not more than 5 minutes. Felt a bit nauseous during the procedure but much better when it finished. Later after that, just a little bit uncomfortable similar to period pain.

The effect differs from one person to another, so bring along your husband or a friend to accompany you. And don't forget, a sanitary pad, just in case the clinic doesn't provide you with one.

HSG alone costs us RM190.

Next appointment, 7th April..

Ok, sleep time.. :)

p/s: The girl at the counter was not friendly and garang a bit...

The first step #2

Ok, here's the story related to this entry.
We went to our first appointment at LPPKN last Monday. Some suggested other well-known doctors, but I think LPPKN should be ok for medical check-up. Later, if we needed treatment, then we'll widen our options.

Here, I'll share with you what I've been through, step by step.

I made a call to LPPKN in January 2011. The nurse told me the procedures and the correct time to do tests. So, she told me that the wife needs to be in her 2nd-5th day of menses and the husband should be within 3-5 days after intercourse. Both husband and wife must come on the same day, so plan well.

On the first day of menses, I made a call to LPPKN to set date for appointment.

Semen analysis (SA) was done on the day of the appointment. While waiting for the result, the nurse interviewed us for medical history, life background, etc.

The result for SA turned out normal. Alhamdulillah, that's a good start eh? (I'm ok because it's ok however, I'm not ok because my test might not be ok). So, the next tests are on the wife. Blood samples were taken from both Wan and I for STD tests and mine has extra test for hormone level. We will know the result during our session with our doctor.

Here are the cost for today's tests:
Consultation fee: RM40
Semen Analysis: RM50
Ujian Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), Luteinizing hormone (LH) dan Progesterone (P4): RM54
STD (husband & wife): RM56.

I will have to do HSG on the 11th day of menses cycle.

On the 21st day of menses cycle, another blood test need to be done to check whether my uterus is strong enough for pregnancy.

After all tests completed, we'll have a session with the doctor. He'll tell us about the result and the solutions available.

So, my HSG is scheduled on next Monday morning.

At the moment, I don't want to think much about what I'm going through right now (but still a little bit worried :). Que sera sera.. Whatever will be will be. From there, we'll think of the next step.

You can do all these tests at public hospitals. But we're very impatient. We don't want to wait for the long queue to get an appointment. We saved our money and did it at other institution.

LPPKN is semi private. The clinic is very comfortable. There were only 2 couples that day, us and this Indian couple. That Indian couple has only been married less than a year and they've already sought for answers.

I am a strong believer that Islam thought us to seek for solutions before we leave it to fate to decide.

I know, it is a very, very huge step to actually decide to do this. Some of us fear that the result may somehow affect the life they lead right now. But for how long do you want to live in question marks? Age isn't getting any younger.

If you're having the same problem, I suggest you to discuss the issue with the husband. I believe, you can't never run away from this matter as long as you're married. Do not wait until it's too late and please watch Giuliana and Bill.. hehe

Well, that is my opinion about this. Some may not agree and I respect that.

Pray for us eh :)

Satisfied

Ah, I like the smell of leather.

*giggle*
I was given an early birthday gift. I'm so fond of it, no, I love it so much. It's the one I've been looking for.

Last weekend, we went searching for the one that suits my taste, for 2 days. The first day, we walked from shop to shop for 3 hours non-stop. haha. Imagine the calories I burnt. It was a really good exercise. On the next day, the Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa day, I already knew where to looked at, so it took us less that 15 minutes to choose and pay. Finally, it's in my hand. Big thanks to this friend who told us where to find it. And not forget, to the one who paid for it. Muah, muah..

I went to watch HMM with Brother Wan and Husband Wan. (Hehe, that sounded so weird). Bro Wan on the right, Husband Wan on the left.

Overall, the movie is good. Thumbs up for KRU Pictures. However, I couldn't stop laughing when I heard the left person whispering Chubaka and the right saying Gandalf when R*him R*zali appeared. What's with the odd looking hair? On the other hand, after giving much thought, I think the mirror laser thing is ok. Hikayat means, it can have a little bit dongeng it in, right?

Happy viewing to those who have not :)

Tears

4.00 am

Don't take for granted because tomorrow may never comes.

What if

The meeting has ended. But forgive me, I couldn't concentrate on work.

The thing we are about to face today at 2 might or might not change us. Yesterday, I asked Wan, what if the opposite happens, will we be the same as before? Can we act like we knew nothing about it? Will we continuously be worried of what the future hold for us?

Women. They can't stop thinking, can they?

Men, being men, whether they are a bunch of amazing actors (on hiding their feelings) or they are actually very positive about everything.

Wan is very calm but I'm not.

I've to write this for future records.

because the result might be life changing...

Mixed feelings

The appointment is set on Monday..

All of a sudden, I'm feeling nervous and anxious at the same time...

This is about him..

I grew up watching my guy classmates skipped cleaning activity just because they are men. Whenever you did the duty rosters, men were given the easiest work like throwing the rubbish. If you put their names in the sweeping floor section, haram they will do it. Just look at their desks or how they arranged their books in their bags, you'll know what sort of person they are.

So, I have set my mind that men are lazy. Only one out of thousands of normal men may be rajin a bit. the chances of I'm meeting any of them are less than 0.0000002% because I don't have that many guy friends.

I have this girlfriend who refuses to get married because she thinks marriage means double house-works and double head-ache. Why burden herself on such things when life as single is less stressful. Partly, I don't agree with her. However, being what I used to be, I agreed that marriage means the wife has to do the extra work.

Well, that was before..

Then, I got married. Sab gave me this book, The Ideal Muslimah. Which was written in such a way that I wanted to be an ideal muslimah like right now.

I went for this ceramah and this ustaz told us that kerja2 rumah hanya jatuh hukum wajib bila suami suruh. Tapi membuat DENGAN IKHLAS tanpa disuruh akan mendapat pahala berlipat ganda. But how many of you actually did it without having your heart felt a little bit angry at your man whom happily stretching out his leg on the sofa watching tv while you are doing house works from dawn till dusk??

I know I can't..

I'm such a fragile human being. I have sensitive skin therefore I can't do too many washing, I'm allergic to dusk, I have troubled knee that prevented me from standing too long, and many moreeee...

But Allah is great and He does answer your prayer. Alhamdulillah, I have the best lifetime housemate. I can't stop thanking Him and feeling grateful for giving me such person and I pray hard that this will last forever.

I know that I have only been married for merely 2 years. Some say this is the honeymoon year and everything still looks so great. For us, the first 10 months was the toughest. We quarreled a lot like a lot. We thought courting for 2 1/2 years before we tied the knot is sufficient enough to actually know each other.
Well, we thought we have..

The truth is, the good and the ugly came later when we started living together, both the man and wife. Then the communicating, accepting and adapting process took place after the 10 months I told you about. And life started to feel beautiful again.

Anyway, he's the best housemate ever. (I think I've mentioned it twice :) I don't iron our clothes or do the bed (which is his part), I can dump the clean laundry on the floor or just leave the dirty dishes in the sink whenever I don't feel like doing it (note: Not all the time, sometimes) and Alhamdulillah, he'll do it without having me to leave a sticky note on the fridge.

I'm not the best cook, but every time I cook, he eats silently and words like "tak sedap", "masinnya", "pedasnya" never blurts out from his mouth. He always repeated "Mak cakap, bila orang masak, jangan cakap banyak. Makan je. Memasak tu penat." and everytime he said that, I wish I got the chance to know this wonderful woman who brought up such a great man.

For 19 consecutive months, I've been nothing but a spoilt wife.. Blame it on the guy in this picture.......... hehehehe

I planned to post this entry on his birthday. However, it slipped my mind..

It's 18th March, Happy 32.12th birthday abang.. hehe

Worth-it

Beautiful picture frame is to frame a nice picture like this

(or is it just me that thinks that it is a nice one? haha.. ok, you can ignore my words before the image)

I asked Wan to put that frame at his office, for "security" purposes. Hehe.

What is it about some men being scared or refused to put the picture of the wife or the kids at their workplace and later when the wife brought up the matter, they will come out with cheesy words like, "I already place your picture in my heart"...

Budgeting

I started doing my own budgeting since matriculation. Starting that year, my parents no longer provided me with pocket money. I have no choice but to be very particular with my expenses. Matriculation students were given RM1K for 2 semesters from the G. I bought my first ever handphone with that money, hehe. Amazingly, I managed to survive with the money given and still had a small sum that I carried forward during my degree.

Alhamdulillah later I managed to get myself a scholarship. Even though it wasn't much, I'm grateful enough. Then I got myself a stable job immediately after I graduated. A few years after that, I got married.

And marriage means sharing, err, the expenses. Since both of us work in the same scheme, we knew well how much we received every month. Anyway, before we tied the knot, we never actually sat down and detailed out the expenses; what he should pay and which part is mine.

After 19 months, Wan still insists on paying for everything. I can be the take-for-granted wife and let him be but I just couldn't. So we split the expenses accordingly.

I've planned my monthly budget for a year and the important thing is the monthly fixed expenses.

Every month, I tried the best not to overspend and I can only splurge on something else if I have extras after deducting the fixed expenses. Since we are about to strike one of our 2011 plans, we can't help it but to be a bit more strict with the money.

Anyway, we do hope that our family and friends will not misunderstood that when we decline a get together trip, a karaoke session, etc, it's not that we don't want to but our hands are all tied up on the budget.. huhu

Western

The wife will jump in joy when the husband said he wants western food for dinner. Easy peasy like this:

Home-made coleslaw, burger and scramble eggs..

Having this once in a week should be okay right?

Wan has his twice a week badminton session and I, errr, almost once a week aerobic session.. haha

Settled

It is my first important yearly report.

While others took leave because it's school holiday, I was the only officer in-charge (of that report) left at the office to make sure that the report is in order (well actually, not fully in-charge because I'm only covering a tiny part of it).

Went up and down the bosses' office, made multiple follow-up calls, felt super uneasy the whole day yesterday.

However, at the end of the day, I told myself, why am I being so intense about. I'm not even an officer in that particular unit. Others are enjoying their holidays leaving me to make sure that every thing is settled? It's not fair for me right?

So I went back home feeling less stress. (lesser but still a little bit worried).

Prayed hard that the report is signed yesterday.

Received good news this morning. Alhamdulillah.. I feel relieved and let's Rango tonight :)

Heart-ache

My heart aches every time I looked at those pictures on Japan's earthquake. I couldn't imagine their suffering. And what is my life challenges compare to theirs. I wish I can do more for them.

The whole world complimented the people in that country on how well-mannered and civilised they behaved after the disaster struck.

I have never been to any pusat penempatan sementara for those affected with disaster in our country for me to comment about Malaysian but I've seen my fellow DPA mates beeing kiasu by taking more kuih than what one was entitled to. It may sounded very simple, "Ala, hal kuih je" but this small things shows their true personality on how they think of others at the back queuing to get their shares (whom later to find out that there was nothing left for them because of those self-centred people).

Anyway, atas sifat keperikemanusian, please donate to:

Baby..

20 months in 23 days.
Oh yes, sorry I could not stop counting again..

Last weekend, while folding up the laundry, I watched an episode of Giuliana and Bill. The one which they decided to proceed with IVF. All of a sudden, I started to cry.

Why la.. I have not even for gone any medical treatment to be sad about.

It's just that........I can feel the same pain and frustration...

Dugaan

(Oh, lebih kerap blog diupdate. Apa lagi, schedule entry la. Type banyak2, lepas tu schedulekan. hehehe)

In shaa Allah.

Boss

This is just too interesting not to share. Received this via email.

Blunt

Whether I'm the traditional type or the junior officers are being so blunt in the meeting nowadays? Seriously, using real case scenarios to point faults made by other person or units in the meeting and the words used to explain it. (You know, hentam menghentam supaya semua orang tahu.)

Wow..

I wouldn't dare.

It's not because I'm such a coward not wanting to mention it in the crowd but I believe in being professional in work.

Simple things should be settled "outside", not to be brought into meetings and quarrel about it in front all the officers or staffs.

No wonder meetings nowadays are so draggy..

What do you think?

Not available

Last time was shoe polish.

We searched the whole Alamanda. And we finally found it in Cold Storage.

Today, we wanted to purchase some medication for my flu. Ah yes, no pharmacist in both Guardian and Watson's. What we received were, "The pharmacist will come in at 6pm" and "You can try at Anjung". Thank you very much.

Centre court Alamanda has this small exhibition on baking stuff. Saw my Kenwood Chef Classic selling at the price of RM2K++. I bought mine at only 200pound. It's double the price.

Meanwhile, I'm FB-ing no more. I activated and then left it deactivated again. Everyday I did the same. Therefore, you'll find me commenting using Wan's FB account. Am I getting old? Or the mild depression I'm having right now is slowly 'darkening' my life because I'm frowning more rather than smiling?

I'm still praying for the 'good news'. If March past by without it, it means I won't be able to deliver it this year at the age of 27.

The cough is getting worst. I hope it'll sooth a bit and won't be disturbing others while watching Beastly tonight. Oh yes, it's my turn to choose and it's Beastly. Hehe..

Who's interested?

This is so irresistible when I am now looking for a good bag that will last forever. hehehe

Sick

I commented on one of my friends' FB wall on how long it had been since I last fall sick a few days ago.

And here I am, lying on this bed, tissues everywhere.

I have been ill for 2 days. Runny nose, sore throat, sneezing non-stop, muscle aches..

Sick or not, work still needs to be completed whether you are at home or at the office.

Siapa kata orang G relax, boleh blah..

Tired

Most of my previous entries are all so dark and gloomy. The beginning of 2011 is not fun.

Work is eating me up. Frustration is leading to another. I get so fed-up over tiny issues and I am so tired of everything.

I don't fancy my weekend anymore.

If only I eat lesser when I'm stress, at least I'll achieve something at the end of it. hehe..

Today marks 4 years, 1 month and 1 day. No letter. We are officially the longest em-forty-one. Yay..

Favourite Film Ever

(google image)

I've watched it so many times since I was little. And I am watching it again now. When Pa went to Austria, he bought each one of us an Edelweiss musical box. But I have lost mine....

Edelweiss - Sound of Music - Christopher Plummer's own voice from Mark on Vimeo.

And my favourite scene of all is the Austria's Folk Dance, Laendler. Christopher Plummer in long tail tuxedos is simply irresistible.

No wonder I felt something is amiss in the month of March.

A night before 3rd March 2009, I was busy preparing my No.1 dress because the next morning....

Ah, I like wearing the No.1 dress and the messkit.. Don't you guys?

Saturday, 5 March 2011

What will you do?

Currently, I'm covering a forty-one post, the main job is on assets. I don't have a head of unit. The super boss asked my colleague, which is a C scheme to cover the head of unit post, which is a forty-eight.

Unfortunately, she can't because the circulation said, if there is other M scheme in the unit, top priority is for the same scheme. I have another colleague but she applied for transfer months ago (recently got married) so she is not in this picture.

Some suggested, I stop covering for the forty-one and start covering for the forty-eight.

It's not about money because even if I'm covering for the head of unit, we'll divide the work equally among us and so is the money. However, that is the silent mutual agreement. If anything arises, the one covering for the job will have to take the full responsibility. Will I be able to handle that stress when the internal conflict and the job are at it's peak right now?

Well, the good thing about covering for the head of unit is the merit given. I was told, it will give you a good one for your career.

Ah, contemplating..

If you were at my place, what will you do? FYI, there's a big project coming up regarding Hospital Support Service.

Friday, 4 March 2011

Why

We had this small office party where we will draw a name and then bought a gift for that person.

And today, I received this.

I have no idea why. hehehe. What ever it is, thank you.

Who wants to borrow?? hehehehe

29 years..

No, that is not my age. hee..

I'm taking 2-day leave in May. A day before and after Wesak Day. It's time to use that passport again. HRMIS has been so far 'obedient' but only during non-office hours.

Took my time went through it this morning and I stumbled into this:

I choose to be in the service until I'm 56 only. 2040 is a very nice number eh? 33 years should be sufficient enough, I think. I may opt for early pension. We'll see.

I wonder, whatever will become of Malaysia in 29 years...

Everyday, I never stop wishing for a time traveling machine. Childish, I know.

I am eating my homemade fried meehoon while typing this entry. My current obsession is bell pepper. I put bell pepper in everything I cooked. However Wan doesn't fancy it that much. Wan eats his breakfast at home while I like to tapau it to work. Everytime I open my breakfast container, I will find extra tomatoes slices or bell pepper cubes in it. Ah, the husband that refuses to eat vegies.

Works are piling up on the tray and next to the tray. *sigh* It looks like this weekend will be another busy one again.

Meanwhile, where the heck is "that letter"?? Tomorrow marks 4 years and 1 month. haish...

Thursday, 3 March 2011

Days, Months, Years..

3rd March 2011.

It'll be 19 months in 4 days.

Sorry, I can't stop counting.

I couldn't help it because I love numbers so much...

At peace

Life at the office was so peaceful today without any meeting to attend to...

A colleague commented I looked tired yesterday. So I immediately looked at my reflection. Hell I was, greasy skin, pale and chapped lips, unmanageable tudung. Selekehnya.

I made a vow to myself, on what ever situation, I should always look pleasant like an officer should. At least apply lipgloss to add colour to your face.

Anyway, it has been 2 months and the skin is showing positive sign. I'm glad it is. A bottle can last for 4 months, so RM50 per month is OK.

I read somewhere that applying aloe vera gel will lessen the redness of the pimple. It works wonders for me. I applied it overnight and a few nights after that (max days are 3 to 4) then the pimple just vanished. No pus, no black scar.

I have a new project this month. Which is to replace all shoulder pads for my baju kurung. All of it flatten until they don't look like I'm wearing any. And to tell you the truth, I only bought 1 new baju kurung last year which was for Hari Raya. I just realised about it when Ma pointed that out.

So, I bought a few pairs of kain for Ma to sew. Free tailoring, yay ;)

The closest

My boss once said, the closest to us is death and the unreachable to us is the past time.

I was so sad reading this. He died at the age of 28.

Wan said, arwah was a PTD. Googled his name, wanting to find more about him, until I came across his blog. I read a few of his entries and he seems like a remarkable man.

Semoga rohnya ditempatkan di kalangan orang2 yang beriman.

Oh my..

Remember this post of mine?

It seems that I was not the only one got cheated by this lady, err, guy..

Read here.

Seee, I was not being fussy or over reacted on how my reception turned out. Those who went to lodge police reports got cheated even worst by him (I'm using his original gender).

Too bad, he messed up with the wrong person. The latest victim will haunt him until she gets her money back..

Anyway, what are to happen to those who have engaged him and gave him the deposits for their upcoming events?
